NFL Europa is no more, but the NFL is still seeking to grow its international fan base. Patriots tight end Benjamin Watson is touring China to help create interest there.

You can read the full story at www.nfl.com

When I think strategically about how the NFL can grow its international fan base the first thing that pops into my head is sending Benjamin Watson to China.

Rockcat . . . is that you?

Still in Pasadena or moved on to bigger and better?

Hope you're well,

You're response cracked me up. I'm still smiling!
Here are a few names of other candidates to represent the NFL throughout the world:
Tank (I'm my own designated driver) Johnson, T. (Let's talk about me) Owens, and Ricky (Don't bogart that joint) Wiliams.

Woah - what's bigger and better than Pasadena?  Though we have moved on, it's still my favorite of the places we've lived. 8)

Yeah...Pacman Jones...probably a person with more aliases than you.

WC11 .....are you really Oxy Bob in disguise?  Why do you always follow my posts with such harsh words?.......I've been through all that and you two just won't let go.

Despite all that....good luck to your Cats this upcoming season.  I hope, regardless of what you will predict the outcome to be, that UR and Linfield will play in the preseason in 08 or 09.  I would love to come up and see the Cat mania live. ;D  Then, you could meet all three of me ;)

I can only think of a few times that's happened to your 182 posts in this persona.

Redlands parent...

If you had the research capability of OxyBob you would see I DID warn you.

Not that it would matter.

To answer SD and any other Redlands fans/parents making the trip north to Spokane:

Lodging:
Best - The Davenport or Red Lion Inn at the Park (both downtown)
Closest to Whitworth - Ramada Inn and Suites/Quality Inn-Oakwood (Ramada about 1 mile, Quality about 2 miles)
Best budget - Appletree Inn
Food:
Best - Anthony's, Steam Plant Grill, Clinckerdaggers (all downtown)
Closest to Whitworth - The Onion, Red Robin, Azteca
Best place to watch a game (after the game) - Swinging Doors Tavern

All of the above can be googled for contact information.

Whitworth is located about 7 miles from downtown, directly north by taking Division Street.  Turn left at Hawthorne Road and the school will be on your right.

pineconefan....thanks for the info...greatly appreciated.  I am anxious to see Whitworth, I hear it's really a beautiful school and area.  Hopefully, it will be a great game.

DO.C  .....I got you message and appreciate it.  I try not to respond to him...he follows me, where ever I post or go.....  I think deep down inside he is a Redlands fan.  Thanks again for the help.

D-Train,

I know I'm a SoCal boy, but I did have the chance to go to Spokane this past April for a family wedding.

We stayed at the Davenport, a great historic hotal and it was great.

Not sure what you like to eat, but Clinkerdaggers was a great middle of the day good food and beer spot.  I might give it a shot for dinner.  If you want to go more classy, the locals will have to jump in with their thoughts.

have a good trip,

tooth

Actually, that's a really solid dinner suggestion.

Dick's is a retro burger drive-in and my attempt at being facetious. Not really a place to take the wife.
Send the wife to one of the nice places.  Stay at Dick's for dawg food. ;)
