Sounds like WOU beat up the kitties......23-9, with Willamette's TD coming at the end of the game.

Will somebody who saw the Willametter/WOU game gives their analysis...Sounds like the Wolves were "mistake prone" first time out....

Not a good thing that most teams make the most improvement between games 1 and 2 but it sure doesn't look like WOU is quite as impressive this year as they've been with the 40 spots the last couple of years against Willamette...We shall see I guess...

At least we have the QB situation settled going into the game with the Wolves...

Allan worked hard in between when Frank's NFL buddies scouted him and draft day, then even more between April and September.

I will be here.
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

Congrats to the big guy.  Talked to him and he seemed very excited.  He's still 3rd on the depth chart so he won't necessarily get pt on gameday but he made enough of an impression on Herm Edwards and the rest of the KC staff that they decided to put him on the active roster (which is more than you can say for almost all of the DIII players who get a shot in the league).  So even if he reminds Herm of Lumpy from leave it to beaver  :D  he's gonna be playing on Sundays now!  Shoot, now I gotta order my #47 Chiefs jersey and start following a team I never really liked before.  Oh well, I guess I never really liked Linfield either but still root for them when they are playing anyone but Whitworth.  And speaking of Linfield, I think they get revenge on WOU from last years game.  If the wolves can only score 23 points against Willamette when it sounds like they dominated the game statistically, they are gonna have trouble against a Linfield squad that sounds like its ready to start putting points up on the board like the teams of a few years back.

I plan on being online for the game next Saturday!  Go Cats!

As for the WOU-WU game---WOU played some good defense based on the stats;  they really shut down the kitties.  Question is:  Is their D as good as they look on paper, is Willamette's O as bad as they look on paper or is are we seeing an o.k. D vs. a mediocre O....?    Oh yeah.  noticed that the Wolves out-penalized the Kitties  with 7 for 80 yds vs. the WU's 4 for 30 yds....sounds like they are up to their old tricks still.

Any thoughts on Hardin Simmons getting beat?  I think they have 2 weeks now to prepare for the Cats---but the Cats have to go one week at a time.  First the Wolves.

Go Cats!

509 my brother,

Just to make it even sweeter, I'll tell you now that I wore # 47 for the Tigers back in the day!  Now you'll think of old sabretooth every time you put on your Allan/KC jersey.

Congratulations on your twofer!   8) ;) :D ;D

Looked more at the WOU Wolves:  They looke to be bigger than the CATS.  I think they run primarily a single back offense and rely on their big linemen to open holes for their RB.  At reciever they have some pretty big guys and they have several big TEs as well.  Based on yesterday, they prefer to run the ball but are not afraid to put the ball in the air either.

Defensively, they have two big DE's and pretty good size on the interior line.  Their LB's are decent size but young (except for one outside LB).  They have very good size in the DB's/Safeties.  The Cat's are not going to have any real size-matchup advantages.  They're going to have to play smart, run good routes and maybe hope to out-speed the wolves.  Should be an interesting game....
Go Cats!
