Big thank you to swede for his hospitality this weekend...His guest room is a Wildcat museum in the making.  I slept in purple and red blankets with a Wildcat pillow beneath the Wildcat logo adorning the wall.

I am in Omaha today....people around here moaning about some game they lost to some team from California...what is that all about...don't they know the best game in college football this weekend was played at the Catdome

Hey Rat Fans....quick question.  Has Allan been on the KC practice squad all along or was he "demoted" (for lack of a better word) to the practice squad?  I was just surfing the NFL pages and saw him listed on the practice squad...I thought (perhaps mistakenly) that he had made the team as the 3rd TE...

He was just put down onto the practice squad after the week one game.  And I'll speak for every Whitworth fan/alum/player when I say that Eddie Kennison is never welcome in spokane    His injury forced the Chiefs to bring up Bobby Sippio from the practice squad and I guess they figured they could stand to lose Allan.  Although he is still with the organization he made it sound like he is now essentially a free agent.  He had recieved offers from the Dolphins, Seahwks, and someone else that I can't remember since being put on the practice squad.  I'm sure someone with a better knowledge of how roster limits, practice sqaud players, etc. work in the NFL could explain that better.

Foss, I don't remember many years when we didn't have a strong QB. Sometimes we'd see them as gawky freshmen taking a few snaps, or falling on their faces in the mud (I'm talking old days here), but they kept getting PT and developed into great players. Or a kid who was supposed to be a second stringer would come off the bench to save the day and have the starting job for the rest of the season and be outstanding. The coaches have always found a way.

Coco, Sounds like we've been fortunate on the QB history. Hey, wanted to let you know regarding Mrs. Coco's comment on Olinemom's visit:

Yesterday I took Olinemom to the Made in Oregon store in Salem and she nearly wiped out their inventory. The manager actually thanked me for bringing her in! Today we went to Lincoln City, and her Visa card almost melted. That woman is a shopper. She's also a wonderful houseguest, and we are enjoying her visit very much.

We actually passed through Lincoln City that day getting to our destination.

Now we know why all the stores had a sign up saying "Sorry, out of merchandise." Glad everyone had a good time........

Looks like the Bearcats need to look to the womens soccer team for a kicker again.
Missed a 36 yarder  against CLU this last weekend. ( I couldn't help myself)

Thanks and right back at you. The Chapman game is a little dangerous. I don't know much about them, other than they beat us down there last fall. I've heard they get a handful of very talented kids on an otherwise average roster which some years gels into a decent team and some years doesn't. Sounds like this year they are a little ahead of their typical development and they handled Menlo with some ease. Second-year head coach appears to have some energy and buy-in from the players. Here's their season preview:

I think the Lutes will come out and play well in their home opener. But it will be a solid test.

When a player is put on the practice squad, it means the play can entertain, and sign offers from other teams.  He still is practicing witht the Chiefs, and they can choose to match others offers, but the ultimate choice should fall on the player.  That being said, I hope the Seahawks steal him away.
