Pirate Pride is just doing what any Whitworth alum would do when he walked into a room full of Wildcats  ;D  He'll settle down once he realizes the impossiblity of silencing the masses  ;)  Anyways, welcome to the board PP...and I do have to agree that all this talk about stache's and dead professors is rather boring to those of us that played east of the mountains.

d-train, when did Bret Gordon (Eisenhower grad) finally learn how to make good reads?  Does it mean the o-line is doing a good job of protecting him, or is he just that much improved?

Not to beat a dead horse but check this link if you want to hear about how President Riley actually banned Football at Linfield (then McMinnville College) for many years.  It's actually a history of Linfield football...but it was banned for a chunk of time under Riley.

Perhaps banning football ultimately led to tearing down the building named after him!  ;D

Swede,

You need to take your show on the road.

I would but my boat came in.

D.O.C.

With 125 guys on the roster I guess it has to be done.
Maybe we could have guys with #101 #102 #103 or how about
#115

GO WILDCATS

blue, count me in for WU vs. SOU
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Anyone else at the HSU game wonder why Trevor is on the kicking teams too?
(reminds me of the D3football.com poll)

Of course he isn't. So why are there two #15 that lead to confusion?

D.O.C. I noticed and #15 at QB the last off. drive of the game. Was that Boehme?

Pat and Keith,

Great story on your trip to the wild west.
It was nice talking with you guys, and thanks for the photo of my sign
in the around the nation write up.

That's just the way we are out here, we love our team, our food and drink and we welcome every one to join in with us.
The Johnies, Warhawks, and many others have joined in before the Cats hit the field.

Hey,
All joking aside, I almost interviewed the wrong No. 15 after the game. If we're gonna do the double-numbers, can it be two guys who hardly play?  :D

P.S. Didn't get the joke about the poll.

I think the reference was to the poll about having your QB on the good hands team...

Keith,

Nice article on your weekend trip.  In a span of a very few hours you very effectively captured the "spirit of the Catdome".  Most posters realize their is NO DOME over Maxwell Field but rather their is an "aura" that encompasses Linfield and specifically Maxwell Field when the Cats take the field on any given Saturday.

The only thing I think you may have missed is the start of the 4th quarter at the Catdome when every Wildcat fan and player raises his arm and has "4 fingers in the air"....a tradition that started in the Ad Rutschman era because his teams were noted for coming back in the 4th quarter and winning close ball games.

Thanks again for taking the time to come West.  Long live d3Football!   :)

That was my first thought. I guess I was thinking top 25 poll, not upper right-hand side poll. Should stop overthinking these simple matters.

A+ on the ATN article, Keith. That was excellent.
Two words:  THE STREAK

Gig Harbor Cat

Just read Keith's article--Well done.  Guys I think it was good that I didn't show for this one.  If the Biker Bar boys would have been hitting my Electric Longies they really would have dialed it up and others wouldn't have known if they were in Mongolia or Mac.  Ha I had to laugh about that one.  The way I see it , everyone has their job to do at a Cat game.

What a classic.  Great job --Phone it in

Very nice article Keith. You captured the spirit that is the Catdome. I am not a Linfiled alum nor do I have a son who plays or played. I have a daughter that attends Linfield. Being a sports fan I went to a Wildcat game when visiting her during her freshaman year. I was hooked. While the Cat fans may seem almost over zealous to some, they are a great group of people and as accomodating and helpful people as I've ever met.

Keep up the great work that you , Pat, and others do to make this sucjh a great site.
