QuoteHey folks...

I was looking through the last few weeks of posts... doesn't look like anyone saw this:

You'd think he'd bother to do his homework and find out that 9 out of Mount's 10 games are required conference games...

Obscure College Score of the Week No. 2: Mount Union 62, Heidelberg 3. Located in Alliance, Ohio, Mount Union -- the defending D-III champion -- is the scourge of small college football, a program dedicated to running up the score. In Division III, some schools emphasize sports and some don't: Mount Union strongly emphasizes football, then schedules schools that do not emphasize football to ensure blowout win after blowout win. So far this season, Mount Union has won by finals of 75-7, 58-14, 62-0 and 62-3. On Saturday versus hapless Heidelberg, Mount Union kept its starting quarterback on the field until the margin was 49-3, although the Purple Raiders did attempt a field goal on first-and-goal in the fourth quarter rather than run for the likely touchdown. Once Mount Union reaches the D-III playoffs, it faces other schools that likewise emphasize football and its scores fall back into the normal range. Maybe it would be enjoyable to play for a team that always won by runaway margins, but where is the sportsmanship in a regular-season schedule of opponents with little or no chance of winning? Mount Union also has six home games versus four road dates, a sure sign of a manipulated schedule.

I believe that clown has been taking shots at MUC for years.  All he does is pick up a box score and then passes judgment.  I wouldn't wrap my fish with that HTML.

On another note, Around The West scribe Adam Johnson will be making another trip out the Catdome this weekend to take in the PLU/Linfield game.

OK...thank-you for the background. He certainly was all over the place.

One Armed Adam is great news.

Hey, Swede,
Check your PM's for my reply.   My best to Tuxguy and all on the NWC board.

Long time no post for me as my studies are a bit time consuming nowadays.....

Anyway, BAR-WEST Classic this weekend. I will be arriving in Portland Thursday night. The original purple flag, Chuck, is already in the Northwest and even my mom has made the trip from London, England. along with him. This tailgate is going to have a of cast characters not seen all together in quite a while!

Great win at ashland. I was impressed by the team's ability to finish the game, unlike in salem.

This is going to be a great, great weekend.

Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

I need to hit a couple of buckets this week.  Need a decent showing at the BWC on friday with the boys.  The only prize I have ever won at that tourney is a high loft wedge, because it was reported that I hit the most trees on the course during my 18.

Oh Well,  I was just going the shortest distance route.  I'm fired up for Lute week.

What will the weather be like Friday do you suppose?

As previous winner of the BWC (way before there were 100 people playing) I should have a lifetime exemption but I paid my $75 to play...not in the rain. Oh well, we win the game and I'm content.

The "Unauthorized Linfield vs. PLU Game Preview" is up on the Catdome Blog.  It will give everyone an idea of what Linfield is up against this Saturday and who they'll need to concentrate on defensively.  These guys shouldn't be hard to spot if the Lutes try and pull a fast one a change jersey numbers!

BWC update.........

Boats will be used this year instead of carts, and you can add an extra club to your bag to use as a paddle.
You guy's from those state's that don't see rain much might want to bring some RAIN gear.
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!
