Thanks Tuxguy. May I borrow your shoes and golf bag?

Tuxguy

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Even though I am thousands of miles from the dome right now, I am shooting dirty looks at anyone I see with a mustache. This old lady I just walked by was clueless as to why I looked so angry....

Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

So right CamCat. I was meaning the never give up positive play and attitude they have shown.
Cawcdad,
To their credit for sure. Thanks for the clarification. I in no way meant to disparage your encouraging words.

Speedybigboy,

YEP we're headed for the Catdome this weekend.  Will carry the Alaska flag for you but cannot help you with any cheering for the Lutes.  Already arrived in the Northwest to get in the proper frame of mind for the annual titanic battle.  We'll have an Alaskan Amber toast just for you but other than that it'll be pulling for the Cats all the way!

Hey, Swede,
Check your PM's for my reply.   My best to Tuxguy and all on the NWC board.

My fellow d3.com posters...This is for all football fans at every level...We need some grass roots help here to change the minds of the status quo elite to "right a wrong" by signing an on-line petition...If you know the story great...If not, the book has now been published...The movie script has been finalized...A Director is on-board and a Studio will be named very soon...Another Seabiscuit perhaps?...You heard it here first...Go to espn.com's page 2, scroll down to Tony Latone to click on the link to sign the petition....Also pick up a copy of the book...If you played the game, are a real fan or both, you won't be able to put it down until you complete it!...Simba

Interesting. Even though I'm killing time I don't have enough to go to that link. I do want all you locals to take in the Hall of Fame ceremony if you can so you get to see one of my favorites:
(this is all taken out of context for dramatic purposes)

QuoteJay Buse, of the Class of 1975, is generally regarded as one of the most dominating defensive linemen in Northwest Conference football history.
Among his honors, Buse was a three-time all-Coast and all-District team selection and was voted by his Wildcats teammates as best defensive player each of his three seasons.
When he was a freshman, an NFL scout told Coach Ad Rutschman that Buse was the best pro prospect he had seen on the West Coast that year.
A starter from the first game of his freshman year, Buse made the all-conference team all three seasons he competed for the Wildcats: 1971, 1972 and 1973.

...and why he's one of my favorites...

QuoteHe elected not to return for his final year of eligibility in 1974.

Stash breaks out the yellow shorts this weekend (rain and all) Goes for it on every 4th down chance.  He dusts off the old bag of tricks ( you all know the ones from when D-Train played).
Its going to be a wild one boys--down to the wire--rain-wind-it doesn't matter--the ball is in the air on Sat (just like my drives at the BWC) high straight and long ;D
Cats take this one in the 4th 35-31.

One question, if Stash goes for it on every 4th down chance, how do the Lutes end up with 31 pts? ;)
Go Cats!

I take it you have never seen the PLU fake sweep-dive-pitch-post pattern, field goal.  Its a thing of beauty.

It tends to result in a PI call on the defense followed by a Lute touchdown a few plays later.  ;)
