I thought D&D mentioned SOU's wish to move to D2 during their broadcast last week, but since they often don't exactly always have their facts straight, I just kind of ignored the comment.

Playing 3 scholarship schools would further prove just how patheticly ridiculous scheduling is getting in certain parts of the D3 community. I hope we can find a D3 school somewhere to play.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

I think that's where I heard it, Foss, and I agree completely. We need to be playing other D3 schools!

Like we don't all already know that.

Can't Wait to Get to OREGON!!!

Should be a fantastic game!

Story ideas, anybody?  I don't want to just write a game recap!

oAs.

It's not very original, OAS, but if you can't come up with anything else, you could write about the tailgates. We don't have just one that has the same food every week. The parking lot will be full of them, and there will be some awesome eats.

Good luck to all at the BWC tomorrow.  Unfortunatly I will miss for the first time in several years and more importantly miss the CATS and Lutes !  In order to try and get my CAT fix me and the Boy will take in Oxy and Pomona-Pitzer and when that blowout gets boring we will walk across the street to check out Redlands and CMS(stadiums literally across the street).  At 6:00 pm we will head for Azusa( everything from A to Z in the USA) and Whitworth.  It is sad though because 2 1/2 DIII games (Azusa/Whitworth only counts 1/2 because of that NAIA thing) can't come close to BWC and CATS Homecoming especially with the Lutes.  GHC break a window for me at the BWC I know you can do it with that swing!

Date     Opponent     Site     Time
Aug. 25    Montana Tech    (NAIA) Ashland    1 p.m.
Sept. 1    at Eastern Oregon  (NAIA)    La Grande    1 p.m.
Sept. 8    at Idaho State    Pocatello, Idaho (D-1)   3:05 p.m. (MT)
Sept. 22    at Willamette University (D-3)   Salem    6 p.m.
Oct. 6    at Azusa Pacific (NAIA)  Azusa, Calif.    6 p.m.
Oct. 13    Linfield College (D-3)   Ashland    6 p.m.
Oct. 20    at Western Oregon (D-2)   Monmouth    2 p.m.
Nov. 3    at Humboldt State (D-2)   Arcata, Calif.    6 p.m.
Nov. 10    Dixie State *    (D-2) Ashland    1 p.m.

SOU could only find 9 football games this year.  Look at the origins of the opponents.  If SOU cannot find enough opponents in the NAIA, then they can look elsewhere.  I think that D-2 might be the place for them.

The Great Northwest Athletic Conference could use another football member.  They  only have 4 teams playing football.

I want colleges to have places to compete.  If several schools can compete on a level playing field in an competent organization, then student-athletes win, whatever the organization.  I really hope that SOU makes the right decision, for all of the right reasons.

Actually, they have 5 now (with Dixie). SOU would be 6. If the NCAA allowed football-only members, you'd definately see SOU and APU in D2 (maybe EOU as well).

DOC I got your PM I don't have enough stripes to respond with a PM but the answer is I haven't told her we aren't going yet.  I am afraid to she is a bigger BWC/Cat fan then most.  I figure I'll find the courage by sometime around midnite.  ;)  Maybe Saturday some miniture golf and the APU/Rat thing and I'll throw an In N Out run will cover me !  ;D
