Hmm, not to my eyes. Perhaps it strikes too close to home for you.

Okay there fellas. Enough of this terse back and forth. Let's all take a timeout and enjoy a few Linfield 'babes' in honor of tomorrow's big game:

Seriously, that's about the only other place I've ever seen purple and red together on purpose.  :D

Interesting how this topic has come again in response to OAS's request for story ideas.  While I don't agree completely with RFB I do think his suggestion that D3football.com do a story on this is a solid idea.  Maybe OAS could get some time with the Linfield (and PLU if he/she is at the game) AD's to find out what their experience has been with scheduling....then a few phone calls to Redlands, Oxy, etc. and boom... a nice story about something that has generated a lot of interest on the board.  Nice idea RFB--if only could present it without sounding so irritating (e.g telling people to "shut up" on a discussion board of all places...)....
Go Cats!

Not at all, just providing another viewpoint to your viewpoint.

You must not have gotten many Valentines as a kid then.... ;)  I think I saw in an old yearbook that Linfield's colors were once Salmon and Lime Green so really, our purple and red is huge improvement from that!

Can't say I disagree there...I'm glad to see Linfield get the red out of the jerseys and pants.

Tough to take scheduling advice from somebody who's got a Turkey Bowl team from an Indian Reservation on their schedule... ;)

Just kidding RFB...it has been beaten to death, I just wish that everybody would quit ducking tough games, you've got the auto bid for god's sake...

I agree that shutup is strong, but just a few years ago the Linfield faithful boasted with a big stick. "We'll take on anyone, bring them on". Now it's turned to the "SCIAC won't play us, were stuck with DII and NAIA schools". It didn't matter when Linfield was pasting those upper division schools. I was just saying that win on the field and there is nothing to complain about, kind of like that old slogan "Leave No Doubt!".

Little did most people know but FrostyO's contained little shards of glass.

RFB,

Wrong..I was saying to get WOU off our schedule when we were crushing them in 2004/2005.  I'd rather play UMHB or HSU or UW-whatever and have it count towards the playoffs than playing a school where it doesn't mean jack towards our post-season.

Trinity (TX) dropped Redlands from their schedule when they were contracted for a game at Redlands(This was due to make room for CC as they joined their conference). This forced Redlands to scramble to find a last minute opponent. It made sense for Redlands to schedule Haskell and bring them to California because of the huge Native American presence close to Redlands. Haskell does not have a budget to come to California, their trip was paid for by a local tribe with some deep pockets. Hopefully this is a one and done deal and Linfield/Redlands can get going again.

"What the...Frosty just called timeout to hand out treats again?!"

Ad and his 'Cats ran the score this far up our butts this year.

The problem with actually doing the story as suggested is that scheduling is very much a he-said, he-said proposition.

Our own Gordon Mann has a post elsewhere on the boards listing eight common reasons coaches tend to give for not being able to schedule another team.

Drove by Michelbook CC awhile ago and the boats were on the coarse. I'm sure we will hear some good stories tomorrow at the tailgater.

Thanks to WC11 and d-train for the afternoon entertainment, some classic stuff.
Dee, I printed your pick'ems for the game tomorrow, don't forget to stop by and say Hi.  ;D

WC64 just stopped in to say hello, and to say see you all tomorrow.

   Thanks Mrs. coco, got it.

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!
