MonroviaCat....I've seen Oxy play this year and I'm confident the Wildcats can power past them. Especially if our defense keeps getting better. Oxy had some good athletes but they will not have seen anything like a Linfield team on a roll.

We need to handle Menlo and then go up to the Pine Bowl for the NWC shootout. Whitworth will be a BIG GAME!

RFB....any chance you could put a bug in your athletic directors ear and have him/her schedule Linfield next year? You guys seem to be looking pretty good and need a challenge.

Wow what a weekend.  I think we were 24 under par at the BWC but who really counts that score, the big score and non score came at the Catdome.  Tailgating with everyone was awesome.  I had several offers for chowder, but DC1 I just couldn't pull the trigger on it--My longies and chowder just don't mix-I think you know what I am talking about !!!  Had several highlights at the game, hangin with OAS on the sidelines, chatting with Mr Meadowlark Lemon the legend during the game. The sun was out, the crowd was loud, but most of all the Cats played inspired football.  Shutting out a very good Lute team was no easy task.  The Salty Cat D brought their A game ALL day--at the end the Lute QB just didn't want to be out there.   Props to the Cat O- line, they got a big push the whole second half, again, halftime adjustments by our coaching staff.
The upside of this Cat team is really showing up.  They are not just getting better each week, they are playing with CAT PASSION !!! I look for this team to roll on with that Linfield Wildcat swagger that they have earned.
 Just my opinion.

 Great job Cats---You Rock !!!

Quote509 Rat Whitworth's rush wasn't the problem the APU QB had very quick release and threw a lot of quick stuff in the flats and over the middle.  APU receivers had a lot of YAC.
Been watching LINFIELD game films have they?
If division three games are hard to get then I'm looking forward to LINFIELD scheduling AzuSa Pacific University so we can see the 'CATS in So Cal.
I'll go out on that limb and state that after taking care of business at Menlo and Spokane to the best of our ability we should just get Mount Union in Alliance and get it over with. Can you believe those guys?

Enjoyed the blog Wildcat11!!  Now if we can get the offense to play all 4 quarters, we can really go places!!!!!.  BC won in the last 3.7 seconds.  To me, that was so nerve-wracking, I couldn't watch the field goal attempt.  When you make 3 huge, costly errors, you do't often win, so I feel the team was very lucky to have won and we have 3 more must win games!!
Brownies for Film Day--Now there's a Slogan I can live with!!!:)  Go EAGLES!

I enjoyed running into several of you yesterday. Great win for the Wildcats. Looks like your boys are turning a major corner as a team (especially the running game and defense). Both of our lines got worn down and outplayed in that second half. I thought Coach Smith showed a lot of class in the way he played out those last 4-5 minutes.

I didn't get to listen to the the game so I may not know a whole lot about what happened, but here are my thoughts after reading the game summary.  There isn't a better running back than Anderson in this league, even though our running game isn't exactly dynamic we continue to be able to pound the ball against teams (which says alot about our o-line I believe)  Hold on...Ichiro Suzuki just raised the 12th man flag for the HAWKS and started waving a towel around in the air showing more personality in his 7 years as a mariner combined.  Anyways...6-15 passing isn't exactly ideal and hope we can improve on that the next 3 weeks.  Big plays are still an issue against our d (atleast two passes for over 40 yards).  Coach Tuly stresses the importance of special teams on a regular basis and can imagine that those meetings wont exactly be enjoyable for those kids today.  Azusa is probably one of the better sub .500 teams in NAIA IMO, so I hope this game shows our boys where they need to improve.  Playoffs started when the game ended yesterday, so hope the boys get ready for Willamette and have a great week of practice.

Good win for the Wildcats
Pioneers still having trouble tackling
Just another dissapointing year for Scotty

I also enjoyed seeing several of you yesterday. OAS, I wish you could make it out to the Catdome more often.

The game was awesome! Not much is better than a shutout of the Lutes. Kudos to the D. I'm liking this Partlow kid. We've got some good young Cats on the rise, including your boy, Proud Papa.

Dee,
Great to see you at the Catdome yesterday.  That DE of yours I think he is #97--He is a stud, Impressive to say the least.  Your Lutes are loaded with speed, I can see how getting in a track meet with them can hurt you.  I'm not sure what is missing if anything.  They just ran into a HOT Cat team that was on their game.
OK don't take this personal

The Lutes should have saved a bus ride and, just picked a score and

PHONED IT IN

Peace Out

From the game recap:
PLU did not cross the 50-yard line in the second half.

Way to go Defense!

papa, let's hope the report card doesn't have the same effect.

This site rankings are out as of awhile ago and OXY sits at 14 with the 'CATS 15 working hard to get to play them. It would be an 'upset' then, you see.
Six of the top 20 teams are in the West. But...boy! that MUC is somethin', idn't it?
