OK...skip this message if you don't want to talk about the playoffs.....  :-*

I wasn't aware of this but both Wesley and Salisbury are in the same league. Wesley is 4-0 8-1  and Salisbury is 2-1 8-1. Wesley still plays Morrisville State who at 2-6 isn't much, and Salisbury still plays Frostburg State who at 2-6 isn't much either. But as we all know...upsets can happen.  ::) The theory I'm leaning toward is that since Wesely and Salisbury are from the same league, I'm thinking the Linfield/Whitworth winner would surpass them in the eyes of the committee. Especially when you look at playoff history....I know it isn't a criteria but I think it's one of those mystery factors that the selection committee "may" factor in. I'd like to see the secondary criteria start to be equated if someone has a brain that can do it but it may be a week or 2 before that can be done. It's becoming very clear that who ever wins out between Linfield and Whitworth would be in excellent contention to overtake Salisbury ....as long as they win out. At best I think Salisbury would end up with only 5 regional games/wins where Linfield or Whitworth would have 6 and 8 respectively.

The other top B Pool team in contention is Case Western Reserve who plays Washington U (6-2) & Ohio Wesleyan (3-5). Washington U. may knock them off and even Ohio Wesleyan doesn't look too shabby. That could open up a lot of things also.

There is also talk that a Pool B team may be in contention for a Pool C spot but that is yet to be determined.

I't going to be a crazy couple weeks!!!!

speedybigboy....not really counting on Linfield/Whitworth winner to get a pool C but with some of the scenarios floating around out there including the one you outline it could be a possibility. I meant actually mess with the SCIAC, not really NWC.

Got that right!  Much more interesting than argueing who should be ranked #2 and get their shot at a "national championship".

Good to join the group, Great to see Skyline High School of Sammamish well represented at Linfield/ Menlo tryed to get TylerKaluza, Sommers, Danny to get a picture with Tony Rehn freshman Menlo QB as the Spartan Gridiron Club wanted to post the four grads on the alumni site.  The Cats took a little to long to finish post game talk and it never came together but wsa great to see the kids continuing the dream..
Here's wishing you a "haka haka" burning love  Go Oak 13!!

Welcome aboard menlodaddio13and congratulations on your first post.  What is Woody Allen's quote, "80% of life is just showing up", so I'm give you your first +K for just showing up on the NWC Board.

You will have lots of fun here and learn a lot and can pontificate as much as you want as well.

I don't recall any Menlo posters before.  Welcome :)
Go Cats!

I am impressed with the vast improvement on Defense over the last couple weeks for the Cats.  That has got to frighten Linfield's remaining teams a little.

Reminds me a bit of the 98 Defense that dominated all season.
GO CATS!!

Welcome, menlodaddio13. Good to have a Menlo poster, hope you stick around!
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Welcome Dad13....I think Menlo's biggest problem over the years is not getting athletic kids to Menlo but the problem is keeping them there.  Good to see a Menlo poster on here.  Now all we need is a Pio.

Thanks CamCat for the link to Catdomealumni.com's ADvantage Catdome.

I just posted up my Menlo/Linfield game thoughts in our latest blog:  'Cats climb all over Trees

Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Welcome aboard.  Good to see a Menlo fan.

With Skyline's record this year you're welcome to take some of those kids to visit PLU  :) (cheap plug for my alma mater)
