Hi everyone,

1.   Great piece on the homepage about a St. John's home game.   It is all true.    Any NWC fan should try to get to a St. John's game if your team is traveling there.     Their fans are incredibly friendly to outsiders.     My wife enjoyed their very potent Bloody Mary served in 22 degree December weather.

2.   Is there any webcast of the Linfield-Whitworth game?    I am laid up and can't travel for awhile.

3.   Who will win?   Linfield or Whitworth?    It comes down to Linfield errors.     If they make miscues like last year, it is Whitworth.    But, the Wildcats have shown much improvement in October  over September.

It should be a close game, but I pick.....Linfield

I think there is a Whitworth Webcast (video) and of course D&D will online with the audiocast.
Go Cats!

A very wise few suggested that we create a NWC in game update page so that they don't have to read our play by play and/or comments made about specific plays during a particular game.  So, I just started a new topic (NWC in game updates under West Region Football).  I'll be posting on there during the Cat-Rat game (and any other NWC games I tune in on this weekend).  Feel free to join me there!

Well this is the highlite of the year for the NW Menlo crowd. I have 7 guys going to Atherton for the UPS game.  We are really pumped ( I know the rest of you are jacked for Spokane ) for the season finale for us.  The kids are gonna really compete this week and we are extremely motivated to beat Coach Phil and the Loggers.  Our boys have been going to UPS for summer camp for 7 years and it carries a special meaning for my son Tony, Menlo freshman QB.  So while the rest of the world is planning for playoff tailgates we are gearing up for our last Saturday :-[ this year.  A win would move us past UPS for the year and give us something to build on.  Wish us luck and maybe some of our 21 kids injured will get back for one more harrah!!   One pumped Menlo Daddio!!!
Here's wishing you a "haka haka" burning love  Go Oak 13!!

Whitworth's strenght is their o-line and their zone blocking.  They create gaps and Anderson hits the gap and presto 6 yards.  Key will be Cats d-line disrupting the gaps and linebackers cleaning up.  Cats have to stop Kemp when he scrambles as he doesn't go down easy. (3rd and 15 crucial time against APU and he goes for 41.)

Can't speak as a guest but as a visiting player in 03 that was an incredible place to play. Beautiful field turf, awesome bowl covered in snow, and the entire crowd was a sea of red. In the 4th quarter, I could barely hear Mathews' cadence and I was right in front of him.

GHC hated to miss it but had an early committment that day couldn't get around.  Did catch Oxy/Pomona,CMS/Redlands and Whitworth/APU that night but the three still didn't make up for the BWC and the Cats !

It was fun--  I actually had a decent round--  MM tried to give me the mystery wedge back, but since I can't hit that club I just told him to keep it for another year
