"the Linfield production was head and shoulders above the Whitworth production."

Linfield broadcast = $12
Whitworth feed = free

Maybe you can get your money back  ;)

If only the Linfield production on the field was head and shoulders above Whitworth...Is the box office giving Linfield fans refunds if they paid to see the debacle in person?  :P :D

I didn't have any problems with the video feed from Whitworth last week except for after half time, it was delayed and I couldn't match it up withe Linfield Audio (D&D).  I guess others had this problem the entire game but mine matched up great in the first half.  The Linfield broadcat (video) improved a lot from their first to their second one.

Regional rankings aren't too suprising....should be an intresting  selection show if everybody wins this weekend (Rats, Dogs, and Tigers I mean).....

It looks like Oxy would go before Redlands (if there is only 'room' for one), and Whitworth is very much on the bubble (3rd Pool B or 7th Pool C).

The B and C situation looks pretty murky at this point, but I bet somebody's gonna end up pissed.

I'm tellin' ya right now...that 2nd loss to Azuza, that isn't supposed to count, is going to end up being the kiss of death for Whitworth.

Looking at those regional rankings just about made me sick!  Knowing that Linfield could beat at least 4-5 of those teams hands down...............sick!  The Cats should really only have one loss (WOU) and be ranked in the top 5 in the country!  Sick, very sick!  Two years in a row.  What does next years QB situation look like?  How come UPS and Whitworth can find multiple 6'2, 240lb running backs and we can't seem to find one for our squad?  What happened to the quick bubble screen that Losey use to call 4-5 times per game which would equate out to at least 4-5 yrds a pop?  When was the last time the Cats ran a reverse or a fake punt.  How come everyone elses QB seems to have a sweep or draw in which they gain big yards on but we never seem to be able to do that?  I hate to say this, but I am affraid 6-3 in going to become the norm for the Cats for the next few years.  My sources say we lost the recruiting war big time this year and it could be a trend due to UPS, PLU and Whitworth having larger endowments than the Cats and being able to offer better financial aid packages?  Plus WOU had turned the corner into becoming a legit D-2 program and they will continue to steal kids away from the Cats probably at a greater pace than before.  Things are'nt looking to hot.  Time to bring back Rutch and establish a 50% run and 50% pass attack offense!

82,

UPS running backs?  You have to be kidding me.  The staff is busting a$$ as usual and the program is just going to be fine.  I'm just glad that this board wasn't around when Locey took over in 1996 and his teams went 5-4, 6-3, 7-2, 6-3 in his first four years.  Or just imagine if we had this board in 1987, 1988, or 1989 when Rutch went 5-4, 7-2, 6-3.  Guys like you would have been calling for Rutch's head saying he lost it.  Call the freaking Whaaaaaaaaaa-bulance because I think '82 might have hurt himself with that pathetic offering.

That might have been the worst post I've see from a Wildcat "fan" in a long time.

You didn't just call the Waaaaabulance!?!?

No kidding...it's a little early to be hitting the eject button... ::)

When was the last time Linfield has returned a kickoff for a touchdown this season...Rutch coaches them ya know...

Lnfield has gotten the benefit of the doubt all year in the rankings, because you all have a first class program.  The streak, stable coaching, easy to recruit in Ore., Wash., NOR CAL, you just did not have as good a team as in the past.  There will be plenty of teams that go on,  that linfield could beat, but it doesn't work that way.  Winning your league is the only gaurantee that you make the show.

MonroviaCat

Thank you 11---I thought that post was pathetic as well.
Go Cats!

I'd gladly pay $12 or even more if it worked. I'm on a Mac so maybe that had something to do with it. Windows Media Player has to do some kind of a software conversion called Flip for Mac. Quicktime is much better...just another example of capitalism for idiots.

I think we were ranked were we should have been until we lost to Whitworth. There are not a lot of DIII teams that could beat Western Oregon, Hardin - Simmons, Willamette, PLU or Southern Oregon.

speedybigboy

Hey guys, can anyone explain to me what the "fly" offense is.  I've never heard of it except in relation to Willamette and I have not seen them play since the early 90's.  I gather it's a run oriented offense.  WHat kind of set does it look like when they line up, etc.?

thanks

You'll probably get a defensive POV from a poster since 'mette fans have left their cage here. Suggest you Google Speckman since he does clinics everywhere (except Alaska).

Just think of it from a political prospective of trying to follow your tax money.  :)
