Big upset brewing with Whittier beating Oxy. Would mean Redlands gets the SCIAC auto and no Pool Cs out of the SCIAC. Unless Oxy mounts a comeback maybe we are looking at a Week 1 rematch between Whitworth and Redlands, only this time the game will be in Cali.

Thank goodness.  As much as I'm bitter that we've lost to Whitworth it would have been a crime for the Rats to get aced out of the playoffs potentially from a loss that "doesn't count".  I'm sure the folks up in Spokane will still be holding their breath come tomorrow but I think the should get packed for a trip down south.

Now only if I had ESPNU.....
11---was that you filming on the field before the game today?  Also---do you have any idea what happened to the videocast?  It died on us today.  Great ending to the season for the Cats though---the young Cats played pretty well (too many penalites and 4 fumbles= room for improvement though)

MCat,

There were a couple of us filming today but I was one of them.  No idea about the videocast.  I didn't hear about any problems until I read the board.  I'm looking forward to the 2008 'Cats.  We're going to be very good up front on both sides of the ball.

D O.C.

Taking liberty with my status of having nothing to do with the LINFIELD program I put forth a question in the form of an opinion.

From the official 'CAT website
QuoteWildcats starting quarterback Aaron Boheme (Soph., Stanwood, Wash.) passed for five touchdowns - all in the first half - while completing 14 of 17 attempts in his major assignment.

. . . with five touchdowns thrown against the Pioneers, Boehme easily surpassed his number of touchdowns caught (2) this season. . .

If a program is going to "recruit the best possible athlete" then why not play them?

In the words of Neil Young.... "Should have been done long ago."

It was a great day for football, with the OSU and Hawaii games on TV tonight to cap it off.

Congrats to the Wildcats on continuing The Streak. As the seniors were introduced, we commented on how many guys we were losing, but we certainly do have a lot of talent coming back. The young 'Cats looked good today.

It was nice to see Cawcdad and to meet PPJ and his family at the tailgate. Cawcdad, you got some excellent pictures, including some shots of PPJ's boy.

So is Whitworth at Redlands a pretty sure deal?
Two words:  THE STREAK

Wildcat'64

Kudos to Stretch Internet and Linfield.....they sent me a refund today for the CATSEYE production yesterday since we were unable to receive the feed.  Don't know what went wrong but it was up at the very beginning of the game for about a minute and then the audio and video was just "scrambled".  Oh well, by 2008 I'm sure it will be up and running for the enjoyment of Cat fans worldwide.

Nice to hear that  the "young Cats" looked good yesterday....let's move on and take back the NWC next year.  Whitworth and Willamette at the Catdome in 2008 should be sell out crowds.
LEAVE NO DOUBT

Whitworth is out. Sorry guys! This sucks. The Rats should be in. Redlands is on the road to St. Johns.

Tenderloin

Whitworth was hosed. Northwest champ with 1 D3 loss gets left put?  Typical East Coast BS IMO. One team out of two conferences? Ridiculous

good luck to the Bulldogs, would have liked to see a rematch of Whitworth - Redlands.  Oh well, next year won't be left out.

Yep, Whitworth got hosed. The Johnnies losing yesterday really hurt Whitworth's chances.

Looks like the committee took a UW-Eau Claire team with two losses that had been ranked below Whitworth in the regional rankings last week. Other teams with 2 D3 losses picked for Pool Cs, as well. Wow.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

RFB....you guys almost upset SJU last time right? That's quite a scene there at Collegeville I've heard, hope you can make the trip! Good Luck and have a great playoff run!

agree Whitworth should be in, but it's Eau Claire that should be out.  If SJU wins that game does Whitworth beat out Bethel?

I don't know why you guys are so surprised...we all knew that the game that isn't supposed to count really does count...breaks my heart...not ::)

Looks like they are counting games like Azusa? Must be...what other reason would there be?
I think Linfield plays Western Oregon, Azusa Pacific and Southern Oregon next year. Should be interesting but if we don't get the AQ and are in the running for Pool C?

that's not suppossed to happen unless the other criteria doesn't allow for a selection, my wording is off but you get the drift.  I started to look at the WIAC schedules but the site is overloaded so couldn't get all the data.  The WIAC is suppossedly this awesome conference.  UW-EC two losses were to Whitewater and River Falls.  I remember the NWC bein 2-1 vs the WIAC this year but those are only the games I remember.  River Falls lost to PLU, Stout lost to Whitworth and beat Menlo (by 5)

I think your right. This will really hurt Linfield with their scheduling problems. Especially when the SCIAC won't give them a game. Yes, I said it. The SCIAC is ducking Linfield, but you guys already knew that. Anyways, Redlands will do their best to upset the Johnnies.
