Is there a video feed for the SJU Redlands game available?

GHC
No video for this one. (i'm guessing if there was the NCAA would make you pay $200 dollars or a special NWC price of $2000).

Yes, I do beat dead horses.   But, if we don't,  this horrible slight for Whitworth could happen again.     Here is my last email to Mr. Burrow of the NCAA regarding the composition of the Selection Committee:

Mr. Burrow,

Thank you for listening to my venting on my two earlier emails.   I am absolutely convinced that Whitworth should have been included in the playoffs, for the all of the reasons I outlined earlier.

But, there is a another, bigger issue here.  Of your 8 Committee members, 3 of them represented colleges with teams in the playoffs:  Trinity, Central and Redlands.    To make matters worse, 2 of those 3 representatives were the only two reps from the West Region.

This comment is not to be construed as any disrespect for these 3 gentlemen.  But, there is a huge conflict of interest here.  In my opinion, no committee member should be from any college whose team will be or might be in the playoffs.   Period.

That will minimize any conflicts of interest.   Such a policy might have allowed a strong team from a strong conference, Whitworth, into the playoffs.

I strongly recommend that the NCAA adopt such a policy.

Sincerely,

George Thompson

C'mon that thing about Redlands ducking Linfield is getting pretty old. Will the wildcats book Mt.Union, St. Johns, Mary Hardin Baylor? Forbid, with playing a D2 school already and a improving Whitworth and PLU team the streak could be in very serious jeopardy. Sorry but I respect Redlands.

Yes Linfield would book those teams and have contacted them in the past in regards to playing.  If we could replace the DII/NAIA games with quality D3's we would in a heartbeat.

You can respect Redlands all you want but the fact of the matter is that they won't play us even when we have matching open dates and we contact them over and over again with no positive response.

You know what's getting old...it's people acting like a bunch of ninnies in worrying about the streak.  A winning season isn’t a goal at the start of each season.  The goal is winning the NWC, winning playoff games and getting back to Salem.  Do that and the streak takes care of itself.  We have fallen short of that the past two seasons and it’s disappointing but the streak is still there alive and healthy.  I hope to god that our players don't even think about just getting 5 wins next season but have much greater goals than that.

Yeah, the streak wouldn't mean anything without the national championships, conference titles, etc....

Amen  to all of that WC11!  The streak should be an afterthought on the way to a conference title and a deep run into the playoffs!  And when Redlands beats Linfield or wins a playoff game I'll have some more respect.  Until then they are just some yappers that have tried to tell us how big and bad they are from the very first time we went down there until now...if they were that tough, they wouldn't hesitate to put another d3 team on the slate.

Can you believe every single game in the playoffs will be over in time for you all to go mow the lawn, or whatever,  at 1PM Pacific Standard Time?
