Swede,
If you are looking for a more mellow posting board, you should check out the SCIAC board.  It is a SJU-Redlands virtual lovefest.  Its the usual Johnnie idea of inviting a friend over to the house, beating the living crap out of them and then giving them a kiss as they head out the door.
Well they only beat the crap out of us once 33-0. Do you remember that one.

How could we forget it? The Johns always remind us, even though it was over 40 years ago.

Isn't the off season fun   :)

Coco,
Didn't you play on the team that lost 33-0?

coco

NO! I'm not quite THAT old!

I got 13 of 16, good for 57th place.  I'm sure that means tied with about 200 others.  One big problem.  I got Salisbury in the Semi-Finals.

It's unfortunate that the team that Whitworth lost to at home got stomped yesterday. Makes it hard to really mount an effective campaign for them to have gotten in.

Of course, Whitworth lost that game at the beginning of the season and some may (and probably will) argue that they were a much better team by the end of the season (though Azusa Pacific may beg to differ).

Oh, oh, you are resorting to Redlands "why we lost" logic, which goes something like this:

1. When Redlands wins it's because they are an awesome powerhouse who played the most demanding non-conference schedule possible.
2. When Redlands doesn't win and you win it's because:
     a. You played a bunch of patsies;
     b. They're rebuilding; and/or
     c. They have the best recruiting class coming in.
3. Turnovers killed us.
4. We played you too early and if we played you now we'd beat you.

Stop it.

OxyBob
Bob--you misintepret my post---I was actually agreeing with Pat and premptively stating what others may have posted.  I think the Whitworth snub sucked but given Redland's performance it certainly did not help the Rat (NWC) cause.

Well...if it didn't dawn on you when the NWC was forgotten in the post season that the playoff winning percentage on the front page would stagnate, it has. The MIAC knocked the NWC out of second place.

Just win baby...and be sure to do it against division in-region opponents.

Bitter? Coffee's bitter.

Well, it's always been known that the only way to "guarantee" a bid in Pool B is running the table. That's as automatic as the non-automatic bid gets.

It also helps when they actually follow the criteria and don't pick 3 teams from 1 league who already has an AQ at the expense of snubbing the conference champ (who had just as good of stats as the other pool C teams who were chosen over it) of one of the top 5 leagues in the nation.    ;D

Pat Coleman

Nope -- it only helps when you run the table. If you put your fate in the committee's hands, all bets are off.

On the bright side Dens, unless St. Johns and Bethel can both win this week and at least one of them can win the following week---the MIAC falls back behind us.
Go Cats!
