WC 11,

I note your comment about a couple HUGE NWC games early in the season.....could that mean Whitworth and WU move up to the start of the season????  If so, that could have huge implications for the first year of the auto bid for the playoffs.

Hopefully should boost attendance at the Catdome in 2008 with WOU, Whitworth, Willamette and SOU at home this year.

'64,

You're spot on.

I didn't even care before, but now you have me on the edge of my seat. I'm guessing Iowa; Central or Wartburg. Darkhorse guesses would be Concordia or UMHB; or I guess WIAC schools always have openings...

I, for one, would love to see another Central/Linfield match up...

2008 -  The Year of the Cats

You can't out Kelly Bird, Kelly Bird!  :D

I was a little wrong about jumping RIGHT into NWC play but I love that the last game of the year is with PLU.  I love the big change up in the dates this year.

Hardin-Simmons! I like it.

Nice choice. The 'Cats don't schedule cupcakes for non-conference games. You got it, '64.  I say we take them this year.

I'm glad the new schedule is out.
Can't wait to purchase the 2008 season home package from Stretch Internet and watch the Wildcats live from the CATDOME!
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Too funny, I was acutally going to pick Hardin Simmons but for some reason thought 11 had said it would be a new D3 opponent!  Great.....now if we could take that 2nd game of the season (or the Hall of Fame Game) and replace them with one of the teams we all guessed (except of course Haskell) we'd be in business!  Go CATS!
Go Cats!

According to the schedule, we play sou on a monday. I am not sure I believe that, so I will take the rest with a grain of salt....
Saturday will be the most epic tailgate ever, especially if my wife gives birth under the Quick-Shade.

After the story on the Lemon brothers ESPN was so taken by Linfield that they decided to put them on a Monday Night game!  John Madden will be driving his bus up to announce (Should be a great addition to the D&D show).  :)

Yeah- great exposure for the cats!

The 29th has to be a misprint. It makes no sense to make sou drive up on a school day (or a sunday) and then drive home. I also do not see the logic in 2 trips to tacoma in 3 weeks with a wou sandwich in between, but then again, I did not see the logic in many linfield football decisions last year either.

Keep in mind that scheduling is not just decided by Linfield especially when conference play is looked at.  As for the 29th---I'm sure we'll hear soon what the correct day and time is.
Go Cats!

Personally, I don't think the Tacoma (UPS/PLU) trips are that bad at all.  They are much easier than going to Ashland, Spokane, the Bay Area, or Texas.  It's a straight shot up I-5, a stop off at the Country Cousin for Breakfast, hit Tacoma and win, and then get back to Mac by 9 PM.

I like getting SOU early in the season so they don't have guys getting activated onto the roster mid-year that were academically ineligible before hand.  :)
