I'd like to announce the arrival of the newest Wildcat.  Julia Seton Hoffman (a.k.a. Mini M-Cat) was born today and is doing well.
Oh Dad, if she is your first, then you don't know how much fun that will be.

One of my fondest memories is when my youngest daughter was learning how to pitch.  We would go to the basement of the parking garage at my office building in the middle of winter and throw 150-175 pitches 3-4 times per week that year.

Field of Dreams all over again, in a parking garage.

They grow up fast...
And then there was the summer that I had to go out and buy the shin guards and cup...   :D

Congrats MCat. I have three daughters. As was mentioned, it goes by fast so enjoy the ride.

If I may crow a bit. My Science Bowl team won their 24 team regional competitiion and have earned a trip to Washington D.C for the National Competition. I know it isn't sports, but these kids are every bit as competitive. In fact all the members play sports also, one even earned himself a tennis scholarship to Bethany College in Kansas, an NAIA School.

Proud Papa Joe

Keep crowing C-Dad. Good luck to the science team. Go to DC and kick butt. It's all sports when you get wright down to it. Any time theres a winner and loser it's a sport. Once agian Good Luck.

Congratulations, Monrovia! Baby girls are awesome, and maybe she'll love sports, too. Either way, you're in for a great ride.

Congrats to you, also, Cawcdad. You will get to accompany the kids back to Washington, right? That's quite an accomplishment for them, and for you as their coach. If they all play a sport as well, they must be well-rounded kids.

A fine day for the Wildcats.

Thank you PPJ and coco. I do accompany them to D.C. They are very well rounded kids. The one young lady of the group will be the only senior in this years graduating class to play 3 sports all four years. Volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and  softball 9th and 10th grade and swimming 11th and 12th grade in the spring.

MonroviaCat

Thanks for all of the warm wishes.  Baby J came home today so the real work is now beginning.  As for her picking a sport--I'm thinking she'll be a football kicker or a baseball/softball closer.  You see, she sleeps most of the time and then wakes up for a brief period to get some work done (eating or sleeping) and then goes back to sleep.  So she should be good at those roles that are short bursts of worked preceded by and followed by down-time. :)  See her picture, isn't she cute?
Go Cats!

Gig Harbor Cat

Did someone say baseball--   Yes it starts today and if you open your window you can hear our big lefty popping the catchers glove.

Congrats, MonroviaCat, on that beautiful new addition to your life.  Girls/Boys, raised them both.  The girls are great for the most part until those teenage years when you will be made to feel like you don't know sh#% about anything.  Thankfully, they outgrow it.  But then, you might get lucky and dodge that bullet.  Maybe she will play women's hockey.  You'll still get to see your share of hitting!   ;D

Blue,
The thing you need to understand about that former player is that he is all about honoring todays program and players, on this board.  I think everyone knows that he doesn't need to put his stuff out here, its just not his style, it never has been, that is what makes him who he is.  A Cat for life !!
