Response to a few posts back;  John Zamberlin a well respected competitor from PLU, LB, NFL, Patriots.

There, that is out of my system.  Oh yea, do your homework.

Geeright,

Which post about Zamberlin? Could you use the 'quote' function?

Another topic: PLU has their '08 schedule up with not one but two new faces from the MIAC...

D-Train,

I saw that.  Those should both be good contests and mix in Cal Lutheran and it looks like a challenging start to the year.

It was mentioned that UPS was going to play Whitewater and at looking at their schedule it looks like that is true with the Warhawks going to Tacoma this season for the Loggers homecoming.

I'm still trying to figure out why Willenbrock took this game.  Is it for visibility?  Obviously he thinks that his program will benefit from playing UWW.  All I know is that the Loggers didn't have a ton of team speed last year and unless they have a major upgrade in multiple spots they could get curb stomped in front of the homecoming crowd.

That's a gutsy move on Willenbrock's part, and I hope UPS can give Whitewater a game. UWW is losing a ton of power, but still.... Whitewater and UPS? I give Willenbrock credit for that one.

We're getting some good matchups between the NWC and our ice-fishing and cheesehead friends in the past few years. Too bad they're so expensive.

Mr. Train,

I read a post with a link to an article written by Collin Guildner, Mast Sports Editor, where he stated "The Lutes will most likely never play on national television and never has one of our players been drafted into the NFL or NBA".

Maybe I missed something, it happens, I'm old now.  But wasn't John Zamberlin drafted by New England?  I know he played for them for a couple years.  He was one of the best college linebackers ever, any level.  I was just surprised Mr. Guildner missed it.

Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. I couldn't really figure that article out either...

This bio says that he was a fifth round pick:
