Schools with one gender quite obviously do not have to worry about gender equity.

Neither do schools which do not accept federal financial aid money, such as Division III Grove City and, to my understanding, Division II Hillsdale.

Thanks Pat....I was thinking that is probably why St. Johns can afford to pay Crown $10,000. Where as we would a have to sacrifice our left ------ to do the same. I believe that's the point of the above conversation.

Could be, perhaps, that St. John's leads Division III in attendance year in and year out and actually profits from paying a school $10,000 to play there. At 7,600 fannies in the seat you can do pretty well that way, even after letting the students in for free.

I agree that they do a bang up job on attendance. I'm sure the football attendance pays for quite a bit around the athletic dept and beyond..... now do they play on grass or is it field turf? I know they have a nice stadium.

I'd love to see a game at Clemens Stadium sometime. It's supposed to be an amazing experience. We'd hoped to make it a few years ago, but it didn't work out.

Warthog,
Is the weather situation improving in your neck of the woods? You'll probably have the garage all painted by the time Mrs. Warthog gets home, won't you, and some other chores done as well?

Like Linfield, SJU plays on turf.

The annual Oregon High School Senior All-Star game, The Les Schwab Bowl, is this Friday at PGE park in Portland.  The 'Cats have 9 confirmed future 'Cats that will be playing in this game.  This is a great get by the 'Cats coaching staff and I hear other good things about players coming in from Hawaii, Washington, Nevada, and other Oregon players.

Here is a list of the Lew Schwab Bowl players that will be 'Cats next fall.

-Ash Gibson, RB/LB, Mt. View High School

-Drew Fisher, WR/DB, Centennial HS

-Kole Krieger, WR/DB, Sherwood HS

-Eric Koczian, LB/WR, West Linn

-Jake Bruno, OL/LB, Bend

-Bryan Anderson, LB/FB, Barlow

-Tommy Patrick, OL/DL, West Linn

-Hayden Mace, OL/DL, Mt. View HS

-Ryan Cook, QB, Clackamas

It's summer vacation so with the inspiration of wildcat11 and his incredible body of work, I have put together a video made from some of the photgraphs I shot this last season. I hope you all enjoy it. 2007 Northwest Conference Football video

Come on, DOC. Wasn't that ATM from Riley?  You know the only place I ever hung out on campus was the library. I knew that place like the back of my hand.

Jake Bruno just SOUNDS like a lineman.

Nice job, Cawcdad!

You take good photos, and that involved some work on your part to put them all together.  Do you suppose the Menlo fans even know about this site?

I'm hoping L&C can have a better season this year.

Thank you coco. There are a few lurkers. They even had one parent post a couple of times near the end of the season.

coco

Good. Maybe they'll come back in the fall. It would be nice to have them represented.

Great work cawcdad!  Cawcdad was nice enough to donate some of his fine photos for the 2008 offense preview that will be out in Aug.  Well done!

As for GHC...I'm going to have to keep and eye on him.  He told me that he wants to drive down to Salem on Saturday night and drop a special delivery at the 50 yard line of Catdome South.
