Monrovia,

You can rest easy. It appears that Turkey Trauma is here to stay, although due to merchant complaints, it is supposed to be less carny-like this year. By that I mean that there are supposed to be fewer booths selling purses which double as holsters. You know, that sort of thing. The local merchants are happy with the changes, as many of them had taken to closing their doors and going on vacation during that time.

We are still the kings of beer and wine.

Was just watching tv and saw a commercial for the movie "Indecent Proposal".  They showed the scene with Demi Moore wearing a Linfield Wildcat tank top.  It was grey with cardinal lettering......  :)

I love "Striptease" She's hot.

Now back to the shirt selection.

Can we tweek the grey a little bit with darker purple letters? If not I am all for the Purple with White letters.

11- FYI, Les Schwab deals with GO USA. They supply T-shirts for over 400 Les Schwab stores. Great quality fair price and good people to work with. Get in touch with Brett Hamilton.
Keep up the good work.

From the Idaho Statesmen Review
QuoteAllen's four TDs help Burn break Fever
The Boise receiver records eight catches for 100 yards in the victory.

BY JORDAN RODRIGUEZ - jrodriguez@idahostatesman.com
Edition Date: 06/29/08

Much has been made of the Boise Burn's roster turnover. Since the season began in early April, injuries, suspensions and other factors have forced Boise coach Lee Leslie to insert 40 different players into the lineup.

Saturday night at Qwest Arena, however, the Burn turned to a familiar face and picked up a crucial victory. Receiver Casey Allen - a team captain and one of two players who have played in all 29 games in the franchise's two-year history - caught eight passes for 100 yards and snagged four of quarterback Royal Gill's six touchdown passes as the Burn rolled to a 52-34 win over the Tri-Cities Fever in front of 4,462 fans in Downtown Boise.

"It was a good night," Allen said. "I was due. Royal was able to find me when I was open and we finally started to get some timing down with each other."

It was the second win in as many weeks for the Burn (7-6), who snapped a four-game losing streak with a last-minute comeback at Stockton last week.

"We're winning games we should win now," Leslie said. "We've got a week off now and then we've got three strong opponents in a row, so we've really got to hit it."

Neither of Boise's past two wins would have been possible without Allen, who scored the game-winning touchdown against Stockton and racked up four scores - a career high - against the Fever.

Allen now has 170 catches for 2,013 yards and 46 total touchdowns with the Burn, all franchise records.

"(Allen) is a just a hard worker," Leslie said. "He's smart and he's a professional and he knows how to get himself open and he rarely drops one."

On Saturday, Allen was Gill's go-to man from the beginning, catching two short TD passes in the first quarter. He also caught a 39-yard bomb early in the third quarter - part of a 26-0 Boise scoring run - and added an 18-yarder with 2:38 to play in the fourth.

"We just seemed to be clicking today," Allen said. "Royal made some good reads and it's obviously a big win for us trying to get into the playoffs."

The victory moved the Burn into a tie for the conference's seventh playoff spot with three games left on the schedule. Boise controls its own destiny and is guaranteed to make the playoffs if it wins its final three games.

"It's a great feeling," Gill said. "This was a big win for us in front of our home fans.

"Now, we can take the bye week to get healthy and get ready to come out and win the rest of our games and make the playoffs."

After this week's bye, Boise hosts Florida (8-4) on July 12 in its home finale. The Burn will wrap up the season with road games July 19 at Central Valley (7-5) and July 26 at Spokane (12-1).
