I love the helmet quizes R.

I will modestly say that I have done well on both.  But I can't get #10 to accept the correct answer on Quiz #2.  At least I'm 99% certain it is correct.

Just posted up the Division I helmet quiz...part II on ADvantage Catdome.

Was able to get 47 out of 50.  Not sure if someone can hit all 50.....

DIVISION I HELMET QUIZ PART II

I was 48/50.  Helmets #24 and #44 still have me stumped...Thanks for that quiz, that is fun.

Don't spoil the fun with hints.

I got 49. Should have known the last one (had the right state at least).

Steve,

Yeah, there is an error on #10.

Yeah...not sure what the issue is but I can't get that to flip over.  There has to be an error with the sheet.

.....I'm glad Pat and his crew will be giving us a nice report on how Hardin-Simmons will be trying to stop us this year in their new Kick-Off Report! Thanks for the tips fellas!  ;)

coco....thanks for the update.....  ;D

Good thing I can't spell...I stumbled upon number 10 (there is an error on the sheet) the first go around when i left out a letter.  Take out the second "c" and you'll have it.  50/50

There have been a few 50's reported.  Old Beancounter nailed it (again) and a number of guys from the NAIA board ran all 50.  I think being out in the mid-west you get exposed to some of those small D1 conference teams.

I've traded emails with the guy who has put these together and asked him about a D3 quiz.  He seemed responsive but who knows if he'll get around to it.  I think the D3 quiz would be much harder than the D1.

Good to see you're still alive (509).

Aloha bruddahs and seestahs! That's for DutchFan and Olinemom. I'm back.

We had a great time. My family had a reunion on Kaua'i and you couldn't swing a cat on that island without hitting one of us. Little Coco and his bride joined us after their honeymoon on the Big Island, where they ran into some Wildcat football parents. Cocoette was at the reunion, too, Top Cat.

On the shuttle in the Honolulu airport the woman next to Mrs. Coco told her how she and her friend were taking their sons to college in the mainland to play football. Mrs. C asked what college and the mom said Linfield. Mrs. C asked what high school they'd gone to, and it was the same high school I went to -- Reform School! Nah, not really, but what a small world.

Anyway, we met them in the gate area and they seemed like nice kids. One was D lineman (big kid) and the other was a safety in high school.  Doug Hire recruited both of them, and they thought he was a terrific guy.

I read some of the recent pages, and I don't remember his sister, but the guy who was the president of Chemeketa was Bill Segura.

After a month in the sun, I believe I could blend in with the Lemon family. I hope I don't lose my tan by football season.

Coco,
I met them Friday evenning at practice. their son is Joseph and their other son is going to U. of Portland.

Oh man...just looked it up and feel really dumb right about now.  I might need to hide for a while now :-[

You guys should really take a look at this News-Register story.  Reporter Ivan Miller is spending a week with the 'Cats....as a wide receiver.  Great job Ivan and looking forward to seeing how the rest of the week pans out.

I read that story....my first thought was...why is he taking up valuable playing time for freshman who are trying to get a shot at the team...what's the point? Then I thought...ok maybe he's trying to get an experience he never had before...that's cool.

I like the idea of naming the scoreboard...How about the "CatTale"....as in the scoreboard tells the tale.  "CatVision" would also work for me, especially for the night games.

Props to Ivan for his "insiders" report.
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

I bet he wanted to kill himself when he woke up in the morning for day #2. Nothing wakes the body up like football camp.

99.9% of those freshmen won't get off the bench this year. Especially when they are playing for Linfield.

Wildcat'64

Kudos to Ivan Miller for doing this.  I think it only helps the Cats to bring a greater level of interest in Wildcat Football.  Maybe with this level of publicity over the next couple of weeks it will help fill the Catdome  and make those precious seats harder to come by.

WOW....170 turnout!  Looks like there will be a lot of young Cats just waiting their turn to show their stuff!
