super dissappointed with the Oak effort offensively, two really stupid penalties costly, one motion in OT that called back a Souza TD.  Still all in all had 1st down at the 3 in OT and couldnt convert.  Cawcdad is observant, #1 Willis is very long and will break a few before this seasons over. Hey we will break out and put one on Chapman next week.  Stout very average no worries for upper division teams.
Here's wishing you a "haka haka" burning love  Go Oak 13!!

Obviously 3 XXL's because they are all gone and the Cali guys did not even know they were ready. Do you have a seamstress who's going to make them into one big shirt for you?  I suggest running a bit more than you are. To be that big at your age is not good for your health.     :-*

Glad to see the Pioneers not only get a win, but roll to a win.  Not only is there a big difference between the top five of DIII and the rest of the top 25, there appears to be a big difference between #234 and #239!  ;)

Impressive win by Willamette.  If the QB injury doesn't become a factor, they will threaten in the NWC this season.

Menlo still appears to have big issues at QB.  The Oaks will have to improve at that area if they want to really make a dent in this league.

If Whitcomb is hurt badly then it really changes the WU offense.  While Leslie is a better passer he's not a threat with his legs and we all know the WU offense is much more dangerous with a QB that can wheel around than with a pocket passer.  We'll see how bad it is.

Bearcat Press

I've been lurking on this board for a while, but here goes for a first post.  I'm the student reporter covering the football team here at Willamette, and I've got an interview with Speckman later today.  I'll put out an update on Whitcomb as soon as I know more.

FWIW, Ryan's knee looked a little swollen and they were icing it, but he seemed to be walking around without too much difficulty by halftime.

Welcome aboard Press.  I do hope that Whitcomb's injury isn't serious and that he'll be back soon.  I WU at full strength when we put the hammer down at the 'Catdome.  ;)

BearCatPress,

Welcome to the board. It's good to have a poster from Willamette and I look forward to your contributions.

We all hate to see these kids get hurt, and I hope Whitcomb will recover quickly.

There is. That's not impossible.

Blue, it's a Willamette poster tradition not to show up on this board until the week they play Linfield.  Then they vanish into thin air after the game.  It's a yearly phenomenon.

While I know your post is sarcastic, I believe the answer to your "question" is "YES!".  Even when they beat us, one poster (Bohemoth's Dad) showed up and posted for one day.  Oh yeah, he posted a few times right before the Bearcats played the Rats a month later but more or less he posted the week of the Linfield/Willamette game, talked some trash, and then vanished(except for a couple of posts about finding a video feed of the WU-WU game).  I don't think there were any other bearcat fans posting last year that I could find.....
