Out of curiosity, does BearcatPress travel to La Verne?
For now, I'm just content to be covering the only ranked team in the NWC. ;)

Hey that is a great accomplishment for Willamette.  It has to be one of the top highlights for the program in the past ten years.  Good job.

Now you're just stealing from my article when I said it's our best start since 1997 . . .

.....I was just thinking about something......it may be a little far off but check this out: If Linfield plays the same schedule it did this year and just flips it home/away....we'll play one home game the 1st part of Sept. (HSU) and then not play another home game until the 1st part of November (unless you want to count L & C stuck in there, which I consider almost a JV game). Interesting....maybe in light of that we could rearrange our schedule and add another couple DIII games and quit playing Western Oregon?

You present a strong case there, Blue. I'm sure that after reading that, Smith and Carnahan will finally try to drop WOU and SOU from the schedule in favor of D3 teams.  {11, can I borrow your sarcasm html tags?}

No offense, D O.C. ;)  Salem isn't exactly a cultural center itself.

Whuaaaaaaaaaaaa?  The capital or Oregon not a cultural center....but there's a building with a golden dude on top.......and....it's the Capital of Oregon.............and, uhm......isn't the hospital from One Flew over the CooCoo's (sp) Nest there too......and it's the Capital!  (or is it Capitol?  ....whatever)... :)

....I thought it was a pretty good idea.... ::)  Let me make another point....if the current schedule is flipped....2 home games in 3 months time from the start the season......just an idea to think about!

The Tacoma News Tribune had a pretty good preview story today describing how this game came to be.  Looks like the Loggers will be headed out to Whitewater next year!!!  :o
