Thanks wildcat11 and GHC. It worked.  ;D
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

Lever Street

Leaving home in a few, heading for Catdome.  Hoping to see Franklin at QB and the Linfield D as salty as ever.  Let's hold onto that ball today CATS!

Go Linfield!
You can't get to CatDome without seeing Lever Street.   Go Linfield!

...The only silver lining is that we now know Willamette is not head and shoulders above the conference.  I'm just hoping for a win against the Cats next week, which is very possible considering your very pedestrian offense, and then Willamette needs to lose to Linfield and/or another NWC team to keep Whitworth in the playoff hunt.

Anyone know how the conference three way tiebreaker works?  I'm too lazy to look it up.

Looks like our "very pedestrian offense" walked all over your team.
Congratulations to the Wildcats for a big win over the 'rats.

Definite difference was the 3rd down conversions in the game.  Similar stats for both teams otherwise.  I guess you did walk all over our underclassmen who start on defense.

How much difference does an auto bid make!!  I'm sitting here with my Lutes at 1-3 and thinking if we run the table we're in!  I'm not saying it's likely, but it's possible, particularly looking at all three of the recently better teams come to our field this year.

I wouldn't be too discouraged either...you can count on Linfield giving you the ball at least four times when they visit next month...I think the conference title race is wide open.

'Cats made it tough on themselves again w/ the turnovers, but got the W. Nice to get a victory over the team who has knocked you out of the playoff hunt the last two seasons. Good to see Franklin & Ford back.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Watching the LSU/Florida game...interesting tidbit came up after an LSU fumble...it was the first fumble by a running back from LSU in 612 carries...yea...612...

Great win 'Cats!  Hung tough and gutted out the win.  It's going to be a huge showdown in two weeks but if we turn it over 4 freaking times vs Willamette it's going to bit us on the rear in a bad manner.

Willamette will not beat the Wildcats now that we are getting people back from injuries. I was impressed with Ford and Franklin and the O-line. They did a great job. Both Ford and Franklin had several runs that were much more impressive than Anderson. Plus Franklin can pass the ball! The only reason the game was so close was the turnovers by Linfield. And of course our defense was spectacular!

Yeah---and the worst part was most of those turnovers were not forced.  I mean, the INT was just a bad throw that shouldn't have been made, 2 of the fumbles were non-contact fumbles (i.e. butterfingers).  We need to fix that problem or we may not win NEXT week (o.k. maybe a bit overdramatized).

Go Cats!

Coaches everywhere might wanna look into what LSU is doing, that can't be all luck.  Course with the way the gators smoked them today maybe fumbles would help.  :D

Truth.

Fully suggest bringing back the purse strategy to reduce fumbles.  Also suggest not playing many starters next week.
Still not sure what kind of team the WILDCATS are but they ARE WILDCATS and the close win is but a building block to greater things, and I'm not referring to once again beating Western Oregon to reclaim the Useless Trophy.
