...the hordes of adoring female fans. Those trombone players get all the women.

Dang!  I knew I shouldn't have given up the trombone in 9th grade.  ;D

NO wonder rock stars are mostly guitar players...all they gotta do is set around and twiddle their fingers....

Call me crazy, but the way I see it, if Willamette gets past Oxy, the road to the semi-finals just gets easier for the next week (or more?).

There's no doubt that Willamette (and Oxy) got the "short end of the stick" in the brackets, but...

Beat the #2 seed to get to the # 5 or #6, beat the #5 or #6 to play the #3, #4, or maybe a #7 or #8 seed.

Why not get the *theoretically* tougher games out of the way early?

Maybe I'm an "eternal optimist," but like Speck said in his post selection interview with PC - "you gotta play 'em at some point, anyway"

Go Bearcats!

I'm not so sure that playing UW-Whitewater will be easier than playing Oxy.  I mean, they are the defending national champs and lost their one game by one point to a team that only has one loss....but the point about having to play them at some point is certainly true.  Doesn't matter how the bracket is laid out.  If you want to go all the way, then you need to beat all-comers.

Good Luck Bearcats!
Go Cats!

Hey! I can get something from that!
Let's see...
Lookit there that's the way....hmmm...yeah!...you do it.
Dum dee dum
Money for nuthin' ...and ...and...I'll work on it.

BCFan, you DO understand that UWW and the johns are the most play-off tested teams in the west, right? OXY's had their moments too.
The grand 'ol man pulls out plays he never used all season long for 'the second season.' The defending champs are, well, Stagg participants 3 years in a row.

Just found out some of the results from the All NWC voting.

Anderson and Woo are Co-Offensive players of the year
Summers and Grove are Co-Defensive Players of the year

I hear WU realy racked up some honors (makes sense).  Congrats to all those who made All NWC Conference.
Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is...
Practice?  We talkin about practice???

You're crazy ::).  Either UWW or SJU will be as tough as OXY.  For now, I hope your guys are up to the challenge.

Go Bearcats......whup the Tigres!

Sabretooth Tiger

Yes Beatkitties, whup the Tigres . . .

then get ready for the Tigers!

On the road to the White House and Salem!

The thing is that  the Bearcats probably aren't  even considering any of that. All season long they've been taking it "one game at a time" with the goal of winning that "one" game.

They've certainly proven that they're ready for "all comers" with their 10-0 record, But...

The post season is admittedly a different ball game...

All I'm saying is "don't count them out."

The road to Salem, Virginia goes through Salem, Oregon (at least for the teams on the "un-seeded" half of the bracket)!

To be the best, you gotta beat the best...sure holds true here with UWW (in the second round, ouch) and St. Johns in the west.  Good luck bearcats, after last years snub we need another NWC team to make a deep run.  I'm jumping on the wagon and hopefully gonna ride it to all the way to Salem, VA.  One week at a time though.  First up, the SCIAC sacrificial lamb...

Lamb, or BBQ Tiger?  Glad to have you on the bandwagon Rat.   With everyone in the NWC pulling for the Bearcats, they have to win!

I like the BC's chances...But Whitewater could be a huge roadblock...but beatable by Willamette...I doubt if Whitewate has faced a team as good as the Bearcats this year...SJU won't roll over but they are not a top tier team this year....Two big questions are...who has the depth?  Who has the endurance?...I think it could be Speckman's year.
