They better not look past Oxy, because they won't live it down on here if they lose to the SCIAC as the #1 seed in bracket!

Oh, I don't know -- WU has beat Linfield two years in a row & they still seem to be among the living.

DT48 is referring to the ration of ^&%$ you will get on here if your boys go one and done at home.  Most of us on here are supporting Willamette in the playoffs but we have ulterior motives, that being conference pride and the second best conference playoff record (since the '99 expansion).  One and done probably drops us below both the MIAC and the WIAC.

So don't screw it up!! ;D

Thank you for clearing that up speedy!   :)

The thing is that  the Bearcats probably aren't  even considering any of that. All season long they've been taking it "one game at a time" with the goal of winning that "one" game.

...I think a lot of teams have the same motto about 1 game at a time. But Willamette HAS proved they can do it this year.....it will be interesting to see how the other playoff teams stack up to Willamette. In 2004 I wasn't sure what to expect....we basically rolled everybody until we met up with UMHB in the final. I wonder if that will be the case this year with Willamette. My hunches say no, but we'll see soon.

Call me crazy, but the way I see it, if Willamette gets past Oxy, the road to the semi-finals just gets easier for the next week (or more?).

There's no doubt that Willamette (and Oxy) got the "short end of the stick" in the brackets, but...

Beat the #2 seed to get to the # 5 or #6, beat the #5 or #6 to play the #3, #4, or maybe a #7 or #8 seed.

I would look at the Top 25 poll as a far better measuring stick than the seedings.

Spoken like a true Linfield homer!
What do you base your prediction on, RedandPurple?

It's not based on anything scientific.  It's just my opinion. If I'm right so what and if I'm wrong it's no big deal.
Of course I'm a Linfield homer and proud of it. Afterall, my son played there for five years from 2002-2006 (redshirt his freshman year) and has a National Championship Ring. I wish every football player in DIII good luck and best wishes. They work hard on and off the field. In my opinion there's nothing better than DIII football.
