According to the poll on the home page, a lot of people (almost 50%) think Willamette is the #1 seed most likely to lose this Saturday. I don't perceive this as a slight to the Bearcats, rather a lot of respect for UWW and what they have done consistently the last 3+ years.

However, Pat I think you should punish the 10% of the 690 who have voted Mt. Union as the most likely #1 seed to lose. Aren't we on year 15 or so for the number of straight times MUC has reached (usually easily) at least the semifinals? Now that I think about it, just ban the close to 70 myopians from Hobart.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

QuoteEven better. I've never sent anyone to a Maine Maritime/Mass Maritime game.

It's just a matter of time.

For those Whitwater Fans that want to know how to slow down the Fly offense you can read Warhawkfootball.com's article Warhawks look to swat the FLY......or you can just go back one month and read ADvantage Catdome's Linfield/Willamette Game Preview....I mean parts of both articles read pretty much the same so you can't lose.   ;)

Dear wildcat11,

I hate when that happens.

You can learn how to "swat the fly" here: http://majman.net/fly_loader.html
Perhaps UWW should watch the Linfield vs. Willamette game film from11/12/05 in Salem, Ore.  Linfield 63-Willamette 21

wucatwu,

How about getting shirts for us, I'd wear it at least one day. Whoops, can't,
wont, not gonna happen, just isn't prudent........... :o was dozing off and almost lost my mind.  ;) ;D ;)

I will hope for a NWC victory, let's go with that.

GHC,
As I said, I almost lost my mind. All is good now.
Got home late, was at the Blazers game. 91-90 over the Kings.
no worries my man.

I'll be happy to sit in the both with Pat, I'm sure he was speaking of me when he mentioned a sane Linfield fan. ;D

GO CATS
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

...The Salem to Salem has never been used before and I forgot to copyright it so I give it to him.

Before when??  :)

In 2004, UMHB opened with Willamette and finished in the Stagg Bowl.  Lost a squeaker to Linfield.  :( :)

Sorry, I had the impression that game was down south, not Oregon.

(later) I'm not sorry any more   :)  That 2004 game was in Belton.

Belton to Salem!   Naw, doesn't have the same ring to it.

Uhhh...the "Salem to Salem" saying has been used here for a hell of a long time.  It only makes sense...

Practice?  We talkin about practice???

Been used 'here' for a long time. Where? By the Willamette football program?
No need to use it last year. 2004? Didn't have much of a ring. I can believe someone uttered those words, but not in the context of the possibilities THIS year. Hmm?

Oh...I just thought you meant in general.  I know they start off every year with that saying (whether it's feasible or not).  I'm guessing those words were taken more seriously after WU was able to beat Linfield this year.

Me too.

Yeah,  In most years that sign in the picture could read "West Salem to South Salem".  ;)
