It was mentioned (once I think) that UWW will travel well because they did so once already to Seattle.  I think that negates any travel factors.
Now, if the flu has hit either team this week then that will matter.

Hey! Isn't the Warhawk basketball team traveling this weekend too? To SoCal (raining 2 "/ 59 degrees)

Safe travels PC.

No, both the men's and women's team are playing at home this weekend.  The men's team did travel to Lewis & Clark  for a tournament in which they won both games (Whitman, L&C) last weekend.

Are you saying there's something wrong with the PA Announcer getting the fans into the game, encouraging the home team?  First Downs are important, ya know?!

Well...if you like the announcer to sound like a carnival barker.... I guess you'll love it at Willamette.

Yeah, not like the announcer at Linfield "We have the BEST concessions in the conference."   "We have the best fans in the conference."   and other drivel repeatedly during the game.  But, oh wait, UWW doesn't have to listen to the Linfield announcer because they're playing at Willamette!!  GO BEARCATS!

Just when I start getting behind Willamette and feeling the NWC pride you have a front runner/bandwagon'er to swing me back to neutral.

Are you saying you're "un-natural?" Or was that meant to be Neutral?!  :)

Is it Saturday yet?

Hey, that's MY line!  Is it?

Funny thing is, I woke up yesterday morning thinking it was Saturday and only realized it was Tuesday after I started my first cup of coffee!

My dog is neutered but now if there was only a way I could get him from passing gas.

On a side note about my dog....he has a PLU color scheme (Black, White, Rust (Gold)), he likes to cuddle, wags his tail when I say "Attaboy", and I'm sure would try to hold my hand if he didn't have paws.  I'm pretty sure that my dog is a Lute.  Mrs. 11 gets pissed everytime I say that.

"realized it was Tuesday after I started my first 3 Monsters" and it IS Thursday already!
And I'm not even involved until the semis!!

It just cracked me up because after he would announce "Another Bearcat First down" we Linfield fans began shouting, "Another Wildcat Touchdown." whenever we would score. I remember the 65 yard punt by the Bearcats and how excited the fans got, until the next play Linfield went 89 yards for a TD.

The place should be rocking at the stadium on Saturday! Enjoy it, because one team has to lose and moments like these don't come very often.
Evreyone have a good time.
Go Cats! Make it 62 in '17!

BearcatPress,

I was looking for your weekly article at www.willamettecollegian.com but didn't see it. Is the Webmaster posting slowly again this week?

No newspaper this week, since half the school is already at home.  I'll be putting an article together anyway and post it on here when I'm done.

I think the banter on here has been fun and generally good-spirited.  After three Stagg Bowls, Whitewater's earned the right to talk.  The fact is that most people expect Willamette to lose this game - just look at the D3football.com poll - and that's okay.  Most people expected us to lose to Concordia.  And Southern Oregon.  And Whitworth.  And Linfield.  Shoot, the NWC coaches picked us to finish fourth in our conference, and I didn't think we'd get higher than third.

The only guys who have consistently believed they'll win week in, week out, from August all the way through to Thanksgiving are the guys who suit up every weekend in the red and gold.  They believe they can win on Saturday.

...

:)

You hit that nail on the head, BCPress.

Willamette wasn't expected to be this good this season, and I love the fact that even Speckman realizes (admittedly) that he really doesn't know the state-of-mind of the team. Obviously after going 11-0 they're confident. They just practice hard and go out and play their game every week.  I'm sure they'll do the same this Saturday!

I'll look forward to reading your article!

Same here, BearcatPress. You do a good job.

The Willamette announcers have been annoying for a long time, but I don't recall the Linfield announcers ever saying anything about our concession stands, etc. Am I selectively deaf? They are the best announcers in the conference when it comes to doing the games.

You're awesome, Footballfan413.
