No, it was definitely your PA announcer.   He kept making the WU students "boo" when he said those things.  First, about the Concessions -- that one went by OK.  Then, it was about the Fans -- that one received many boos.  He said it more than once, but it did drop off quite a bit after the 1st qtr.  Hmmm.... why could that be?

Anyway, it doesn't matter.  Every team has an announcer who sometimes says dorky things!  I personally like the one at WU but maybe because I'm used to him.  During the playoffs, they're only supposed to announce what's happening, though, and I think he stayed with that at the last game.

So, everybody full of turkey & ready for some football?

I had dinner over 5 hours ago and I'm still stuffed!

Definitely ready for some football!

C'mon Saturday!

Football in not a game but a religion, a metapysical island of fundamental truth in a highly verbalized, disguised society, a throwback of 30,000 generations of anthropological times.

Gee whiz man...way to ruin a good story....what do you think I am....a kool aid drinker ;D
The operative word was "1999"......anything before that doesn't count.  You're just like the little kid in the theater who interrupts the movie going to get his 100th snack...on the way back he manages to drop half his Coke in my lap ;D  Oh well, I guess I'll go back to sleep and wake up late Saturday morning....besides, reality doesn't start till then ::)

Ya, don't you hate it when the facts get in the way when you're trying to make a point?   ;) :D ;D

For some reason, I'm getting the feeling that it hasn't been made clear that the reason 1999 was mentioned in the first place is that that was the first year the NWC competed at the Division III level. Prior to that, they were NAIA. Outsiders may not know that.

So it was an apples to oranges comparison to bring up UW-Lax's wins going back a few years before that. Teams like Willamette, Pac Lutheran and Linfield weren't even eligible to play for the Stagg Bowl in the earlier part of the 1990s.

But, it is apples to apples to mention results from '99 on forward  :)

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Thanks for the correction. That's what I get for trying to work from memory.  :)

Still, the central point of my post still stands.

No. 5 UW-WHITEWATER at No. 1 WILLAMETTE
Keith: Whitewater, 28-21
Ryan: Whitewater, 27-24
Pat: Willamette, 38-34

Pat definitely has good instincts and the right idea.

GO BEARCATS!!!!  GO NWC!!!!

If the game plays out as the 3 gurus see it we will be watching a great game tomorrow. If it's anything like the 2005 game at Linfield we will be in for a treat.

UW-W fans, If you are going to  bring things to tailgate with before the game, right in front of the stadium is a nice grass area close to the main gate. It's part of Bush park. Even if you can't park in those spots you can drop off any gear you need and then park the car.

It's all general admission so find any seat you want, just not mine! ;D

Best of luck to both teams, lets have a clean, hard fought, mistake free game.
What ever you do, do not leave it in the referees hands.

GO NWC
GO CATS
WILDCATS THAT IS!!
Only at a D3 football game could you have 2 seats on the 50 yard line (2 rows behind bluenote) and have an obstructed view!
I love D3 Football!!!

Saw what?  Tux Guy, always talk to yourself -- that way you're not misunderstood! ;

A game like the 2005 game at Linfield is only a treat if you're cheering for Whitewater!  We're hoping the Bearcats will take care of business better than that!

GO BEARCATS -- make the NWC prouder!

Good luck Bearcats.
