Two more recruits on Amherst's football website Instagram ....vice college Instagram.  Another OL from St Albans School , Wash D.C. And a LB from Merritt Island, Fl.  Both players with nice size with room to "grow", even in D3 Nescac that only plays an eight game season presently.  Will post names and particulars briefly.
Nate Silvea from Florida is listed at 6'1", 190 lbs and Peter Jerome from St. Albans is presently listed at 6'3", 255 lbs.  St Albans, a small private school, has sent many student- athletes to Amherst but  I cannot recall any football players.  It plays in a private school league that has sent a number of football players to the CAC and Ivies.  One player of note from St.Albans recently retired from the NFL, an All-pro LT on the Ravens...a Hall of Famer for sure...all 6' 8/9", 300 LBs of him :).

Speaking of social media, Williams under the new regime has been a lot more active (although not too hard to be more active than "zero") in that regard.  The Ephs finally have a YouTube channel, and posted the first video, highlighting the hard work the players are putting in this offseason.  It may seem like a small thing, but nowadays this sort of outreach and publicity is important in terms of reaching and engaging potential recruits, as well as connecting with families and football alumni.

It will likely take at least a few years, I'm very confident that Coach Raymond will bring Eph football back to its former status as a consistent NESCAC contender.

Nice to see Nescac1.  It is a necessary " beginning" in today's world of recruiting among a social media dominated world...especially among/for the younger genatration.  As always, looking forward to a more competative "Little Three".   It is a sort of traditional thing! ;D

Back again....two more Amherst recruits featured today on the football Instagram website....a Center from New Jersey and a corner back from Florida...Tallahassee no less, home to FSU....via Deerfield Academy.  Back later with the Names and particulars...two step process due to age and tendency to misspell names.
The center is Daniel Papa, Montgomery HS, Skillman, NJ...6'3" 280 lbs.  The CB who did a PG year at Deerfield is Winslow Robinson, Jr., Hawton Chiles HS, Fl...5'7", 137 1bs.  Robinson played on three Florida State Champion teams while in HS.

Former CAC Coach

First post -  Glad to be back in the 'CAC...  Amherst supporter

Found link to Daniel Papa's hudl tape that I can access:  https://t.co/EnLNlphtzk

Amherst OL recruits so far appear big and mobile.  Looking forward to 4th consecutive ring in '16

Following my last response, looks like Colby is releasing their incoming recruits via the Colby College Football Twitter and Facebook. According to Twitter, they're bringing in 22 recruits this year.

After a pause this weekend...Amherst released three more Instagram pics of recruits....all filling needs, IMO.  Here goes....James O'Regan, WR, 6'3", 200 lbs out of BB&N, Cambridge, Ma.; Elijah Ngbokoli, RB, 5'7", 175lbs, Hackley School, Tarrytown, NY; Bennett Fagan, OL, 6'4", 252 lbs from Oakton H.S., Vienna, Va.
O'Regan is considered one of the top receivers in Mass. got a number of D1 out of state schools looking at him, including several Ivies, but seemed to like Amherst's location.
Elijah went to a NY based school but maybe a Jersey kid! A HS all - American wrestler with clocked 4.49 speed in the 40.  Speed and strength.
Bennett is a big lineman that looks like he is still growing...Facebook ...plays LG in his highlights.
Amherst graduates two top receivers, a strong RB and several interior big OL starters.  Recruits to date should contribute in a season or two if not sooner.

FYI....in my recent inquires, came upon NewEnglandEliteFootballClinic.com online that boosted of players that have landed in top colleges.  Went down the listing of players and colleges and saw many of the Amherst posted recruits.  The list included about 8 Bates and 7-8 Bowdoin  NE recruits....to date.  Did NOT go further than the "Bs".

Back again...have to be quick on my feet these days......latest two recruits were found on the Amherst football Twitter account!  Both listed as DL, though one played MLB mainly.  Oh well, what do I know...not much.
First one is David Perdoni, DL , Belmont Hill School, Ma....listed at 6'1", 206lbs.  Plays Lax and appears to be the prez of his class.
The second one is Alex Katchadurian, DL, Brunswick School, Greenwich, Ct...listed at 6'2", 265 lbs. Also played guard on his team....a few more pounds and he may be a heck of a nose tackle ;D.
Probably end up as a guard as his highlight videos show him playing on both sides of the line with good mobility and quickness.
I am aware of another student- athlete from a prep school just south of Amherst.  A skilled QB at 6', 185 lbs that will be attending Amherst in the fall.  He was on the NewEnglandEliteFootballClinic.com list.  He maybe an ED student that was Not a football "tip".  Based on his name, his father works at Amherst.

Trin9-0

I played in Trinity's 11th annual golf tournament on Monday. It was another fantastic event and they shared the full incoming class of Bantams. There are 26 in all; 6 played on state champion high school teams and 4 are Trinity legacies.

The bright spot of this Class is supposedly on the offensive line, a traditional strength for the Bants. Although, based on a few of the films I've seen on Hudl there are also some exciting play-makers. More than half of the class (15) comes from either CT, MA with another 6 from either NY or NJ which has pretty much been the standard in recent history.

Trinity8-0...thanks for the list!   Plus K.   Hope your golf score was satisfying :).
Made a comparison to the list provided earlier by Lumbercat.  It reveals to me that the listed size of recruits are changing.  One common recruit from your list has gained about 15 lbs since Lumbercat's post.
Amherst held its first football camp last weekend on the 15 of May.  It was the same date of the Amherst women's Lax NCAA game with York College.  The Lax game was held on Pratt Field.  No mention where the football camp was moved to in the afternoon....lower turf lax field and old grass playing field maybe.  Just a bit of info that catch my interest.

IslandTime

Amherst's 2020 class looks solid! Got some real aggressive beef on the line and looks to have picked up some talented receivers. A couple of playmakers at QB and some speedy and hard nosed LB'ers and Def Backs. Excited to see what Mills and Co. can do with them over the next few years.

And I like the fact that the class comes from a wide array of states.

Williams' staff is speaking with one of the o-linemen at my son's school in Merritt Island FL. I am selling him hard on how he should be honored and freaking fired up! After our visit to AMHERST, Williams and Middlebury as well as a lot of contact with Wesleyan and Tufts, I am selling kids hard down here on the quality of academics as well as how nice the facilities are in the NESCAC. There are not many Div 2 or 3 schools in Florida so I am taking it upon myself to educate some of these players on the quality programs as well as support these schools can offer. Letting them know that they just have to reach out to the coaching staffs because their recruiting scope and budget restrictions dont typically allow them to stretch down this far. Hoping I can convince a few kids that it is much better to go to one of these great NESCAC and playing great football schools versus going to a lower level academic school just because they would be playing DIV 1 football.

Amherst is back on track with three more Instagrams of three more Class of 2020 football players...boy that makes me feel old ;D....on the eve of graduation weekend for the Class of 2016.  Brings the number to date at 17.  This group has two students named Jack and all three student athletes playing on both the offensive and defensive teams.  Guess the Instagram designations are their projected positions.
First Player...Jack Griffin, LB, Staples HS, Westport CT...present size...5'11", 195 lbs with 4.7sec clocking in the 40.  Great school that has sent " tons" of players to CAC schools.
2nd Player..Blaine Fox, DL, St. Augustine Prep, Richland, NJ...present size 6'1", 290 lbs.  Southern NJ school? Was a little puzzled scanning the web on Blaine.  All highlight videos showed him playing at the guard position.  One online post had him at 2" shorter and 40 lbs lighter.  The Amherst coaches will sort it out later :)
Third Player..Jack Faulstick, WR, Wilbraham & Monson, Ma.  Again, a little bit of confusion on my part wrt to this Jack.  This is the the other QB, I mentioned in an earlier post...without naming him.  He set some nice numbers passing to a senior WR on his team at W&M school just South of Amherst.  His teammate will be going to Brown.  Anyway, yes, for those posters aware of Amherst football coaches...his father is the present AD at Amherst and the former OC...longtime and good one.

Three more Amherst football players featured on Instagram.....brings the count up to 20 now.  These latest members of the class of 2020 are basically multi- sport athletes..talented ones that play football, IMO.  If they are able, they should make other Amherst sports coaches happy.
First one is Biafra Okoronkwo, RB, Loyola Blakefield HS , Towson, MD.  The school plays in a top Baltimore area league. Biafra is presently 5'10", 170 lbs and plays everywhere on the football field.  If he gets pass the line, very few DBs will catch him.  He runs a 220 M in 22.8 and a 55M in 6.4 and is considered a track recruit too!
Second player...Harry Boeschenstein, TE, East Grand Rapids HS, MI.  Harry is a puzzle.  An online search has more Hockey related info than football! He is listed at 6'3" on a hockey feature..the go to senior player on a young team.  Football...almost nothing that I could find...other than he won honorable mention awards on the all- state football team by the main Detroit newspaper.
Brendan Popovich,WR, St. Peter's Prep, Jersey City, NJ.  Brendan plays Lax too!  He is listed at 6'1", 185 lbs.  Have to be quick and mobile to play lax.  Jersey players are tough kids.
