Another football Instagram  appeared today....only one, making the total to date at 21. Got a hunch it is the last one.  Justin Berry, TE, Somerville HS, Sommerville, Ma.  Justin is very interesting in that he is a big acclaimed player at two positions from a Town near the Tufts' football field.  Justin is featured in videos mainly at LB mostly and has his size listed from 6' 3.5" to 6' 5" and his weight from 215 lbs to 230lbs., online.  I will post the most common one here...6' 4" and 220 lbs.  Expect his projected position to be on the offensive side, as he gets bigger.  Amherst has a starting TE around 6' 5" plus that will be a senior next year.
21 recruits is a solid number for Amherst as the players should replace present position players when they graduate, IMO.

Former CAC Coach

amh63 -   I believe there will be at least 4 more Amherst recruits to announce, as we have not seen anyone from Texas, Oregon, Colorado or North Carolina yet...These states were depicted on a teaser  Amherst posted before naming recruits "The United States of Amherst":

Former CAC Coach.....I forgot! :'
I put up an excuse for my comment by the number of Seniors on the team....18 graduated today....watched online.
In truth, lost count of the state map thing as I posted.   Plus K

Football camps by CAC schools is a topic that Put forward for posters here.  Amherst has two football camps, with the one in May finished ...with the other one-day camp scheduled for July.  This year, one of the top assistant coaches is taking the lead.
Was on the Hamilton website and noticed that Hamilton has scheduled Four.  Besides the camps being a good source of income for the coaches, it helps in recruiting down the line in particular areas.
Bowdoin and Williams now have new coaches.  EPH and Polarbear posters, how do you'll see  camps...number, purpose, etc.?

I was checking on the Amherst football website....and saw an Instagram.....summarize what it is all about?  It was a picture of a football player's big hand only....holding his diploma ...rolled up in a purple container, clutching his class cane.  On his fingers were two rings..marking two straight 8-0 Nescac championships.  I stand corrected by the Instagram... 20 football seniors graduated!  My count in an earlier post was 18.  Guess I cannot count as well as spell.
It should be noted that two of the seniors were impact players that have fathers that were also college football teammates.  The fathers are Williams alums :).

Quiet day in college sports....unless you like Div 1  softball and baseball.  Was checking around the Nescac for football news...even some team rosters to see what players will return.  Don't know why since I will forget the names when Fall comes around.
Anyway, saw some tweets on the  Amherst  football site relating to Summer coaches' travel plans...scouting trips.  Guess recruiting is year round even in D3 Nescac.  The football recruiting coordinator and QB coach is now in West Palm Beach at an Elite Camp site.  Assume it is one for student athletes that have a chance to get to to play in the Ivies, Nescac, etc.  Other Camp visits by Amherst coaches are two NE Elite camps, another at Big Green and Columbia? There were no far west visits that I noticed.....though I know that both Amherst and Williams have a number of players from California.....ones that did go to NE prep schools.
Put on my glasses and see Princeton and a West Coast camp....QB coach now going to Georgia.

Colby's strength coach St. Pierre left abruptly last week. Apparently the football coaches are not allowed to discuss it, and the AD has not addressed it with the players. Any info available?

Bowdoin has hired Time Viall, MIT's offensive coordinator as its new offensive coordinator. It has also hired a new coach from St. Anselm (Rob Eggerling) to handle the defensive backfield.

Eggerling is a good coach.  My sons best friend recruited and coached by him at St Anselms.
And he is a Syracuse area boy too!

Williams College wins its 19th out of 21 Learfield Directors' Cup, a remarkable accomplishment evidencing an unique consistency of purpose in successfully integrating academic and athletic excellence. Washington University, with almost 4 times as many undergraduates, finishes second, and Emory, another much larger school is third, followed by Tufts and Middlebury.

Way to go Ephs!

Just wanted to give a quick shoutout to the guys over at "Nothing But NESCAC." They've done some admirable work over the past few years, providing us all with some of the best 'Cac football content out there. Sounds like they are shutting it down post-graduation so their blogs will be missed, but hopefully they'll stay active on the boards. Salute!

amh63

Eagle322......I agree!  Though it appears that NbN will continue.....according to the most recent blog post.  It was also mentioned on the MBB board.  The last blog even gave  CAC board posters a shout out! plus K

Great job Ephs!   Reports are the Ephs offseason football with the new Coaching staff is moving forward in a positive way.

Good for Williams that Football isn't included in the ranking calculations. The finishing spots for the NESCAC schools would have looked different!
