Several comments....
Last year at Pratt, the Amherst win over Wesleyan on turf was 28-17.  Lots of big plays both defensive and offensive.  It w as a Homecoming game at Amherst.  A slug fest sort of game in dry conditions.  I expect a slug fest again and maybe a game like in 2014 in Middletown in wet conditions.  The all CAC specialist/ football player from a local MD private school won the game in OT and got the kick to push the game into OT.  The private school inPotomac Md. was known in years past as a feeder school to the Naval Academy.  Believe there is one such school in New England...R. I.?
Remember, the historic cardinal field is a natural turf field...grass :). Seems the correct definition of a term helps ;D.
Been watching the new Science Building construction.  There are three camera views.  I watch all three to get perception clarity under natural lighting.  My point here....watching games live can be be different than online....and often where one sits at a game can influence one's opinion of a game.   A tall QB standing up reads the defense better than a shorter QB under center is a simplistic example.  Often, I miss the DB coverage of WRs downfield with my eyes focused on the QB movements, etc.  Middhoops comment that if the defense believe a QB will NOT run then the defensive scheme is altered accordingly.  The game in rain wet conditions will increase TO probabilities....trying to keep up with other posters technical terms here.  Fewer plays? More runs on wet grass?  I believe the first several series by both teams will tell me how the game will play out.
Exhausted my expertise here.  Oh yes, I believe LUCK will play a part ;D.
Oops!  IslandTime was the poster, ...not MidHoops...though his post was good and had the same objective as my post.

Yes there will be drinks in hand as we watch another game. Could do without the rain. Looking forward to Amhurst next week also. Half way mark sure do wish the season was longer. I don't believe a 9th game will happen despite the rumors. But then what do I know....

New study out there concerning CTE and football players.  91% of those studied had CTE.

Any thoughts out there?  Yay? Nay? Studies too limited?
Numbers too small to be relative?

What say u?

Retired Mule ....emotions?

I clearly supported my thoughts.

Yeah. I was referencing the Colby pick. Just a number. No thoughts. Odd for you to be throwing picks for a Colby game. Not your typical thread.

Also oddly, your Colby pick involved was 24-14. Interesting. Most common way to get there is with a FG and 4 PAT kicks. But they aren't football players. We should revise. You actually think 18-12.

That would probably explain why some former players would make inane comments, like saying some of their former teammates, their son's current teammates, and the teammates of kids whose fathers frequent this board aren't football players.

Yup.  You nailed it.

Amherst's preview of the game at Wesleyan is on the Amherst website...Football.
Interesting points....Returning kicker from last season not noted...same as last week but C. Wall did come in to do the kickoff kicks.  Soph QB from Seattle is the listed starter.
Last season's score was 27-18 vice the one I posted...28-17.  The Amherst win in 2014...the thriller in Middletown in wet conditions....33-30OT.  Had a blocked kick by Amherst in that game.

Now now children.  Feelings hurt because you couldn't have it your way?  Roflol.

Yes, to everything you've alluded.  The more you can't let it go, the more we know it must be hurting your souls.

Specialist

That Google action item must really have chapped your hides.  I bet if ya put in specialist a Kickers image will frequent the collage.

westcoastDad

I.did mention that my cousin plays for Colby.

Be glad that I even predicted you would score.

You know, in some ways good old "Al Davis" from this board a few years ago was an attention seeking narcissist.
He could be a bully at times too, but he was playful.  Likable, even.
When he was on a rant he could be mildly annoying, yet still entertaining.  But Al knew when to let it go.
Never thought I'd miss old Al.
We could use him these days, methinks.

Vandy74, think you could channel some of your Inner Al Davis for us?
amh63, corrections and/or elucidation on my random posit?

Well stated Middhoops......spot on.

Though Al and WCD stir things up which does add some life to the board.

Al Davis identified himself as a FY Wesleyan Football parent- he disappeared after 1 season on the board. My assumption is that his son fell victim to DiCenzos axe and was cut prior to his sophomore year or left school.

Al.....if you are out there drop us a line!

My take:
Hamilton -3 @ Colby
Trinity -36 @ Bowdoin
