Excuse me?  How is asking a question an insult?  Did u read her post?  Either she didn't read or her post was lame. Nobody took anything away from the Jumbos win.  Some had questioned the effort of Amherst in the last possession (after the game was over but the clock).

Defend your kids.  You make more sense then

Pretty sure she understands.  And 100% certain she understands how to post on a message board withou insulting other posters.

When the question is followed by "or do you just not understand" then it's pretty clear what the intent is. If your intent was not to be insulting, choose better words.

You guys are funny.  Do we have to put on pampers for the challenged?

Clearly it was either a sarcastic post or they didn't read the previous posts . Nobody said anything negative about the effort put forth by the Tufts team.
If one then posts something directed at the unCola then expect to be challenged.
Pat if u took it as an insult that's on u.  I took it as "before throwing out accusations......let me make sure it's based on reality".

Get some thicker skin.

Insult?  Just answer the question.

Nobody pounced when Amh63 was thrown under the bus for his kind words.

No retractions at all.

Peace

PS  watching a lot of missed kicks in the NFL lately.  Gotta be the most pressured job on the roster.   That much is for sure

PC, I had to go back and re-read all of the post game comments regarding the Tufts- Amherst game.  There are maybe 6 or 7.  All gave credit to the Jumbos.  In mine, I even said....phenenomenal season for Tufts.

Not sure why anyone would think their squad was the redheaded stepchild based on those threads.   Asked for clarity because maybe one isn't understanding the whole quit stuff.

Anyways, on to Trinity.  As I mentioned earlier we are in spoiler role now.  Kudos to Jumbos as I mentioned weeks ago....great school, great location, great facilities, and not "in the sticks"   :)

Question to all posters......What is the term "red headed" add to "stepchild" statement?  Really!  Must mean something as used.  A little more than curious since I am married to a red headed women.  Do not want to be miss understood in Today's World of progressive society when I may say " redhead wife".

WaestCoastDad-

Again I have to state that I enjoy your posts...you have added a lot to the board. You bring a different perspective form the west coast and you have raised some great points.

That being said I think you are taking the whole deal a little too seriously. You recently suggested that other posters need to "grow a thicker skin". But I think the guy with the Rabbit ears is you.

Your'e getting way to rattled when challenged. This is a friendly exchange, I would suggest dropping it back a notch and enjoying your 4 year experience with Amherst.

From earlier posts I'm not sure if you are a brain surgeon or a high level attorney....I forget.      I think you played at USC, where they take football seruoisly..... Thanks for sharing your personal credentials with the board. Very impressive.

Try to have fun with this, as you instructed another poster, focus on your son. This isn't about you.

Anybobdy who is going back over old posts to defend his position is spending too much time on this deal.

Hurdle-Pruce injured his knee in practice this past week. MRI scheduled for tomorrow. Praying the kid is ok. Great young man. As for the QB sutuation, I have been scratching my head on it all year. The program photos have Sparscio pictured with the QBs, WRs and TEs. More to scratch your head over. But it was s terrifiic game to watch.

ColbyFootball-

Thanks for your reply and sorry to see Hurdle Price have such a tough senior year. I know of his character. He is highly  respected by those who follow Bates Football.  Hate to see anybody's senior year unfold like this, wish him the best.

I guess we'll never understand the thinking of the Coly staff on Sparacio. Who knows, maybe there were injuries along the way. The Mules now have a very good QB in place and he is only a junior. This bodes well for Colby. At Bates we'll  hope for the best up in Waterville next year when the Bobcats face the best Colby QB since Ciiero and Kmetz.

Now that the QB controversy seems finally to be resolved  in Waterville I won't predict a win for the Mules against Tufts this week but look for a strong showing from the Colby offense. They now have a QB who is very capable and not worried being yanked if he makes a mistake. He will play well against Tufts and Bowdoin will be a romp for the Blue and Grey.

Now that the Amherst followers have frozen out interest on this site - apologies - I want to point out a good article on NBN on the foolishness of the eight-game schedule.   Not a new topic by any stretch, but it is very unfortunate that the two top teams in the NESCAC this year will not be seeing each other on the field.  One more game and they eliminate that.   Great year so far by Trinity and really good recovery from an early loss by Wesleyan.

Anyone see Trinity losing the rest of the way?  I see this as an undefeated campaign for them.

IslandTime

I know the player's rallying cry in the Amherst locker room is now to wreck one perfect Season (Trinity) and preserve another perfect season (Williams 0-8).

Looking forward to both taking place over the final 2 weeks.......

Back in the day when men were men, "undefeated, untied and unscored upon" was closer to perfect than 8-0.

gridiron

Now that the dust has settled on the Amherst loss and poster frustrations have been aired, wondering who will be QB-ing for the "team without a mascot"this week?  Or who should be?

Columbia 1932.  9-0.  Undefeated, untied, unscored upon and uninvited to the Rose Bowl.

Dude, those notions of binary sexuality and male dominance are so last-century.  The millenials ain't about that stuff.  In fact I believe just uttering the phrase "when men were men" requires a trigger warning at 6 of the NESCAC schools.

And Vandy, you should applaud the Rose Bowl committee's prescience for sniffing out the unmitigated disaster the Lions program would ultimately become.

My father had an old friend who he loved to tease with that piece of football history.  I know the man was at Columbia during that season but I was too young to know if he was a player as well.
