Long Wes run but fumble Colby ball. What great Colby pursuit down field. 1 and 10 at the Wes 45.

28-7 Wes. Does anyone in the world believe Colby can even make it a game? No. Colby plays offense as though it were a 50 yard field rather than 100. 99% of the passes are WR screens, RB swing passes and downfield passes of under 10 yards. They do not stretch the field at all, and the defenses adjust and shut them down. Same old Michaeles Mules.

It might be time to consider the possibility that the Ephs are actually pretty good.  An absolutely massive day from the frosh once again, on both sides of the ball.  Including a break out game from Rashad Morrison ... we will see as the competition is much tougher in the second half of the season.  But dang they look better each week ...

middhoops

Lumbercat is looking like the sage of the week.
Midd leads 28-10 at the half as Foy threw two pick sixes early.  Eberth took over at QB for the Wooly Boolies and led them to a score.
This could be a high scoring game.

After watching parts of a few games so far today, a couple things are clear.
1.  Williams freshman class is going be seriously good.
2.  Amherst made enough mistakes to be trailing by well more than 18 at the half.

Colby was looking pretty good there for a minute up 7-0

As was Hamilton who led 13-0 in the 1st half before Trinity scored a a 40 yard end around by their star RB.

Haven't watched any of the Williams game but wow!

Amherst?  Ouch.  Have lots to say but this board may be viewed by Amherst coaches!  LOL.

I will say that I hate the read option offense.

I will say why did we rotate QBs all season long (early).  But, not today when it is clear our starter was rusty.

I will say Lebonitz throws a nice ball but we had early opportunities to INT and didn't get em.

I will say we should run the ball to Hickey more (from I formation would be great).  When he runs downhill, he is a tough honcho to bring down.

Yes, AMH63, I am Yankee man all day long (since Reggie Jackson was traded from the A's).  He and Ron Guidry, Roy White, Mickey Rivers, Buck Dent (Bosox remember that guy right !?), Chris Chambliss, Willie Randolph, Nettles, Pinella, and Munson...........all day everyday!  But, Joe blew the game yesterday.  Gotta challenge that HBP.  Just have to.

Anyways, 2nd half for Amherst should be interesting.  I since a comeback.  I know if #7 were in the game, he would pick one off.  Just have that feeling.  Just may not get the chance today.  Expect more from the DL in second half.  We are getting to QB just a step late.  He's been able to get off some throws just ahead of a sack.

Let's go Purple and White.  A great comeback is due

Wes' AD Whalen and the announcer just said that Colby does a nice job on the short game, but they can't stretch the field. Not me saying it, them. And they were actually holding back laughter at how many times Colby's thrown the WR screen. Last time I checked the coaches game plan and call the Colby plays.

74 yard sprint for Hasan Figueroa!  28--17.  Back in this one.  Just need stops D

westcoastDad

Did NOT expect a shootout.  But 35-24 qualifies lol

The long bomb is in play for the team formerly known as the LJs.  35-31...LOTs of time left in 4th.

As a Panther fan, the irony of this ball control running game trying to seal the deal is not lost on me and my ilk.

lumbercat

Leibowitz is a great QB big, fast and a very effective passer but what is with all the hook slides?

middpantherpride

WOWWWW! Talk about a tale of two halfs. Props to Amherst for fighting back. Lot to be proud of.

That said, gotta give it to my Panthers. It wasn't pretty but they found a way to get the job done. Huge win on the road. These kids just need to learn how to finish a team off in the 4th quarter. It was like a replay of the Wesleyan comeback. Gotta enjoy it and then get ready for a strong Williams team. Midd is the real deal. Lot to work on, but they need to keep it rolling. QB1 showed why is the best in the conference and was a strong D1 guy.

Cheer. Boys. Cheer.
