Wesleyan 24 TTUN 20
Point Spread: TTUN giving 3 points.
Weather: Rain and wind. High of 64.
I think your blind spot for dear old alma mater is going to come back to bite you again. I'm taking the Ephs and I'll even give the points.

Amhurst College at Hartford State: Teams appear to be very evenly matched with both of them at or near the top of the league in most offensive and defensive categories...Amhurst seems to have Hartford State's number winning 4 of the last 5 games and 6 of the last 9....however, Hartford State has won every meeting at home since 2007...Hartford State has won their last 16 games in the Coop...Amhurst coming off a big win against Tufts while HS crushed Middlebury...this game is for all of the marbles....HS just does not lose big games at home and they won't this year either.

Hartford State 24 Amhurst 17
Point Spread: Hartford State giving 6 points.
Weather: AM showers. High of 61.
Amherst won in Hartford in 2014 by a score of 7-6. Trinity is undefeated at home since then. Prior to that, the last Amherst victory in The Coop was a 28-20 win in 2000. I think Trinity wins but I wouldn't touch this game with a 6 point spread. I'm expecting a nail-biter with a big play late in the game determining the winner.

Nescaman -- Enjoyed the preview of the upcoming games.  I would take Middlebury over Hamilton.  (Bowdoin was on their way to 50 pts vs. Hamilton before they lost their top two receivers; Richam did not play; MCrumm actually threw 5 TD passes/two were called back.)  Also, I would take Williams over Wesleyan, assuming Williams has all their key players.  I hear that Richam is back on Sat for Bowdoin. If so, I give Bowdoin a chance. If not, I expect more of the same for Bowdoin (no offense; defense is on the field the whole game and gets worn down).  I wish I could make the Trinity/Amherst game.  It should be a good one; hard to bet against Trinity at home.

Interesting "Post" on the Williams' online blog..Ephblog...wrt to football in particular and the Williams Homecoming game with Wes this Sat.  The poster is our FrankU, the terse poster on this board :).
Interesting is that it is a LONG post by Frank and it contains a pic of FrankU in a EPH football uniform..lineman, I believe, based on number.  The article is worth reading on its own, IMO.
Go to Ephblog on line.  Way to go Frank!

I just checked the NOAA web site for weather conditions in Hartford at game time tomorrow. Rain is supposed to push thru but they are calling for 20mph winds with gusts up to 45mph. This is going to limit the Bant's air game and should benefit the Lord Mammoths. Looking forward to some old school smash mouth football!

Not mine. Seldom talk about myself, and if and when I do, I make it succinct.

Taking a page out of Frank's book, whereby brevity is a virtue.  My take on tomorrow:

Bates wins
Tufts wins
Trinity wins
Middlebury wins
Williams wins (toughest call of the week)

We will take the points.. We're 3-0 in these "special wagers" this year...We'll pick the payment after we win...perhaps we'll make Hs8-1 wear a "Hartford State" shirt next week in Middletown...

Good Win for Trinity. Better team won. No excuses for the Jeff's - they (we) just got beat.  On to Williams!

Maimaron injured in Q3 for TTUN today...seen on sideline rest of half on crutches...back-up played well in relief almost bringing the Ephs back after falling behind 21-0 in Q4...our assessment in limited watching is the back-up throws a better ball than Maimaron but lacks the starters running ability and leadership skills...given Maimaron needs both of his wheels to be 100% effective and the back-up is not named McCrum, look for the Lord Mammoths to face young Jackson in Amhurst next week...more to come...

Hs8-1...we think you should stick to raising money for Wes rather than critiquing our picks, which apparently you're not very good at...

What size Hartford State shirt you wear?

Canvas Hightops

Umm, didn't Trin 8-0 predict a Trinity win decided on a last minute play?
Chipouras explosive run cemented the Bantam win.
Not too bad as predictions go, nescacmen.

Midd maintained its standing as solidly average.  Wesleyan started well against a somewhat depleted Eph squad.  Bowdoin comes alive against a Bates team that looked great two weeks ago.
The Hamilton hoopla has faded somewhat lately.
Trinity is, as Dennis Green famously said, "who we thought they were".

Congrats to Bowdoin!  The infamous streak is over!

Surprised by both Wesleyan and Bowdoin wins--congrats to both.  With Bowdoin's streak now over the CBB will be more interesting in Waterville next week.

Congrats to HCOF Wells on his first win since 2015...As we said, Costa out and Richam in was the difference in this one...it's interesting with these poor teams how much of a difference one player makes...the addition of injury reports in the NESCAC next year will make a big difference in our picks... ;D

While Richam made a huge difference, the return of tight end Bo Millett also gave the Polar Bears a much needed offensive weapon.
