Trinity 8(5)0, you never answered when I ask you what you do with your life.  What do you do with your life?  I'm fascinated to compare you with all the ex-ballers from Trinity.  With your attitude, I'm assuming you blow us all out of the water.

Thanks.

WAMH will have Tufts-Amherst this weekend live on the air and online - http://wamh.amherst.edu/

Kickoff is at 1:00.  Last year, Tufts came into this game with a hyped-up defense and Amherst's O ran all over them in the Medford snow.  The year before, if I remember correctly, Tufts' D shut down the Lord Jeffs completely.  Which one will it be this year?

You can also catch Middlebury/Trinity game on the web at www.wfad1490.com starting at noon Eastern Time, kickoff is at 12:30.

Whats Middlebury's story?  I was under the impression -- due to my experience from 1999-2002, that Middlebury was one of the traditional powers in the league.  Was that likely because during those particular years, Middlebury just happened to be a quality team?

It also seemed like a real nice place, easy to attract recruits to.

Middlebury's all-time won-lost record as of the end of last season was 376-383-42.

It is a great place. The scenery is amazing and it is a very laid back town. When watching a game at Alumni Stadium, you can see the Green Mountains and of course the golf course off to the right end zone. The kids love it there because of the atmosphere and of course the academics. The cool thing is that there are quite a few alums who come back to Middlebury to coach/teach. (Bob Ritter is a good example)

FWIW, I seem to remember the girls were better looking at Middlebury than at many NESCAC campuses.  And they have the Ski Bowl.   T

I think in that category it would go:  Camp Trin-Trin (KKG?), Midd (I remember the Barbie twins from 1999-ish...), then every other nescac school far, far below.
"what's the difference?  it's just j.crew vs. l.l.bean anyways"

I would agree that hot little blondes represent a significant portion of the population of Trin girls. Honorable mention for Tufts as well (with that many students a few cuties are inevitable).

Week 6 picks.   In an effort to differentiate myself from Fells, I'm taking Bates over Colby.  Home team in CAPS.

WESLEYAN      over                 Bowdoin

TRINITY          over                 Middlebury

BATES             over                 Colby

AMHERST         over                  Tufts

Williams           over                  HAMILTON

I have not seen enough games (I've see one) to weigh in on MVP candidates.

Trin9-0

Wlms over Hammy
Colby over Bates
Bowdoin over Wes
Herst over Tufts
Trin over Midd

Terrible weather in the forecast for most of New England makes me wonder how it will affect the games tomorrow...

20-30 mph winds are forecast for Harford tomorrow with heavy rain. Hey, at least they play on turf.......

mrmike: last years AMH-TU game came a week after the jumbos worst game of the year against Williams. Not only did Lucey and Co. light up the scoreboard, but Adam Arsenault, the Jumbos stud MLB, shattered his ankle in what many described as one of the worst injuries they had seen on a football field. Simply put, their D was dismantled for the rest of that game and the next week against Amherst.

I think this year will be different. While Arsenault still isnt playing, the Jumbo D is healthy. If the weather is what it has said to be, and Western Mass gets rain of biblical proportions, I think a close game would be imminent.

Despite last years debacle, I think the Jumbos will be confident. TU won in 04 and in 03 in an overtime game on Parents Weekend in Medford (Best NESCAC game Ive ever watched). I wont be able to attend, but I'm fine with missing a game that could be very low scoring and very very wet.

I've heard a lot about Kehoe and Hannon, but nothing about Amherst's running game? It should be tested tomorrow.

TUrighty14

...oh and as for the TU ladies, they are a microcosm of most of the athletic programs at Tufts: good enough to compete with the best in the league, but just cant seem to take home any titles...
