Three days before the first NESCAC football game of the 2023 season and 18x NESCAC Football Champions Trinity and per WSJ 8th Best College in U.S.A. Amherst do not have a football roster published.  Why? Are they being tricky, apathetic, or too busy to post a roster?  My guess is that Trinity is being tricky, and Amherst is just apathetic.  For me, it is just one more reason to root for Tufts in the opening day battle in Hartford.  Go JUMBOS!!!!

GroundandPound, make sure to add Hamilton to the list of schools without a 2023 football roster published.

Trinity just added it after the morning post.  Congrats on a getting a roster posted three days before the season starts.

Maybe the kids are spending their time in class and not posing for pictures.  As they should.

NESCAC should require rosters posted at least a week before season starts

GroundandPound

Gray Fox,
The first week or two of practices are usually before classes start.  It is a good time for pictures.
Of course, if pictures are not taken until after classes start, student athletes are so busy studying they do not have time to have their pictures taken and the roster should not be completed until after the football season, or just wait until the next year to post a roster.

GroundandPound

It looks like Trinity returns 6/12 All Nescac players, Tufts 7/10 All Nescac players, and Middlebury 8/8 All Nescac players.

My count is 105 bodies on Trinity roster- what is limit this year?

Pictures are typically included on the roster format when possible but numerical roster lists can easily be released before picture day.
The rosters the teams submit to the NESCAC office do not include photos.
The Trinity roster posted with 105 players includes some players who have been or will be cut unless the roster size is limitless this year.
Time to move on from the roster whine, the rosters still not published will be there shortly.

Lumber, no limit this year or next. In 2025, the League is going back to the old 76 player limit (as of now). As we know, NESCAC changes on the fly so that could very well be adjusted in the coming months/years.

FYI...some discussion about potentially changing game times for this weekend with the threat of Hurricane Lee on Saturday.

Nothing confirmed or set in stone yet, but be sure to check for possible schedule updates tomorrow.

Good to know...!   Thanks for the heads up.

Which games are in greatest danger of being adjusted?

SpringSt7

Not a meteorologist but Bates @ Tufts is pretty close to the water and goes at 6:30, while the others all go at 1:00.
