Thanks, PistachioX.  Williams seems to be looking outside of New England for most its recruits in Coach Kelton's first recruiting year, which is interesting.

One more future Eph, who apparently chose Williams over a bunch of Ivies, Tom Cabarle:

He sounds like an impressive all-around player:

NP.  The listings I provided are just Eastern MA commits (greater Boston).  I find it interesting that there are none announced yet for Colby or Hamilton.

At Columbia Coach Kelton was responsible for recruiting the mid-Atlantic south.

A NH QB heading to Bates.

asked one of the Trinity guys about this kid.  Trinity didn't help in admissions.   no "spot" offered

if he likes to throw the ball then how does he fit into Bates' offense?  just askin'

PistachioX

I don't know anything about him, other than what was reported in that blog.  I found it, searching for NESCAC commits in New England.

If his final couple choices were Merrimac College and Bates, my guess is his SAT's and/or his academics may have been on the cusp.  Bates reportedly has some new support from the Administration (new field) and in Admissions (more latitude with prospects) in an effort to turn their program around.  This kid's passing game in that highlight film looks pretty solid....so maybe Bates is overhauling their offense, as well?  We'll all find out, come September.

Any other news on recruits.  Did Trinity have a good year?  I heard about two kids they got from FLA and Suffield.  Any word?

I heard Trinity OC left for an Ivy job.  Any truth to this?

Is it so unusual for Williams to recruit outside of N.E.?  Any more so than the other NESCAC schools?

frank uible

No. It is my distinct impression that historically Williams has had on its roster more football players from outside of New England than the typical NESCAC college.

There may be movement on the Wesleyan staff, supposedly Jeff McDonald (LB / Special Teams / Recruiting) interviewed for the head coaching position at Fairleigh Dickinson University last week.

OK, should I really do this, God?  Should I?!

Fine, go check Sox76's email address for yourselves...
