Pretty nice synopsis.  Particularly coming from a lineman.  ;D

Y'all would have gotten along well with JT in the old politics board that used to exist on this site.  :P

That's kind of an inside joke now though since i doubt you or most people who lurk now will know who I mean.

Retired Mule: I echo Polar Cat's review, although I would expect that kind of thinking from a lineman, even a Colby guy!

All NESCAC

Retired Mule-
Always wanted to ask a Mule what happened to your ex teammate and all Nescac QB Ciero- did he end up playing elsewhere and hopefully finished up his degree?

Eagle322

Have to wonder what will happen to this fine gent down at Wes and if any of the teammates mentioned will be implicated. Article in the Herald makes it seem as though he was dealing to strictly teammates (about 20 of them).

Hey Trin 8-0
Will you do us all a favor and take that repetitive video of the Amherst screw up off your posts. I'm so tired of seeing it every time I pull the website. I'm glad you won that game but let it go.
You're an embarrassment to Trinity to keep that going, despite the Trinity recent shortcomings why hang on to that in light of great Trinity history.

AmherstStudent05

I think your post was overly hard on Trin 8-0, lumbercat.  I am sure it is all in good fun.  Although, as someone who was at the game in question (sitting on the other side of the field), I certainly wouldn't mind if Trin 8-0 found some different material!  That was definitely one of the tougher losses I have seen at Pratt Field (not only was it a heartbreaker in its own right, but Trin also knocked out our starting QB for the season finale against Williams).

There are some video clips of recent Amherst-Trinity games that I would like to play as Trin 8-0 does (several kicking plays in particular), but I lack the necessary technical skills.

Thanks for your compassion for the Trinity OT guy- I guess I was too hard on him- you are a nice guy...

I interact with 2 Trinity Alums regularly who dabble on  the board from time to time. One is a hall of fame RB and the other had a great career for the Bantams.

Both are embarrassed by the repetition of that one win on the board and each questions if the poster was a team manager or an assistant SID. Who the hell leaves that up? Both have said it cant be a Trinity guy.

+k Trin 8-0, that is some hilarious ish! It reminds dlip of something he would see over on the MIAC board.

Wow lumbercat, I had no idea the gif would cause such angst. I know it's a slow time for a DIII football message board, but there has to be a better topic than complaints about a fellow poster's signature.

I'm sure both of your Trinity acquaintances had excellent careers, however there surprisingly is no athletics hall of fame at Trinity. Since you brought it up, my affiliation with Trinity is that I'm an alumnus who played four years for the Bantams, was a captain of an undefeated Trinity team, a second team All NESCAC selection and a 1935 Award winner (Trinity's equivalent to a team MVP award). I'm also the one who returned the punt on that play. It's probably a little self serving to include it in the signature, but since I hadn't previously indicated that I was the one making the play I didn't see the harm.

This is a forum to discuss NESCAC football and have a little fun. I'll probably take it down at some point, but knowing that it bothers you so much, I'll leave it just as it is for now.  :)

Finally, I'd be remiss if I didn't note that Bates could only dream of achieving "Trinity's recent shortcomings"; a 26-6 record the past four seasons, including an undefeated season and NESCAC championship. It has taken the Bobcats the previous 11 seasons combined to achieve that many victories.

Have a good day and enjoy the gif below. Go Bantams!

I wish I had the technically know how to put a signature gif in place.  Besides, Trin 8-0 is a nice guy...to boot :).  Provides info on cook outs at games, etc.
Asked my sons...both Amherst alums working in the IT profession..to help me a while back.  Stumped me with the basic question of what would I consider a " signature" item/ gif.  Maybe an empty wallet pix?...or someone sleeping in a classroom?  My kids have a strange sense of humor ;D.

@Trin8-0 I think you just proved @lumbercat's point even more. Maybe it's time to close the yearbook....
