Based on the amount of money Tufts budgets to support their football program, they will never pay the travel expenses involved with joining the UAA.
Tufts will not leave the NESCAC.  It'll be interesting to see if the changes in the coaching staff, and more importantly, the administrative philosophy (President Larry Bacow resigned this year) will change perspective on football talent/admission standards in the next few years.

Tufts will be better this year.

Hey! Iamhuge is back!

Let me guess: Tufts will be better because that's where your son is going.

Am I right or am I right?

Might it be possible that Tufts will likely be better because it will be difficult for it to be much worse?

While I hear the Belichek's boy is a good lax player, he's an average at best football player.  He's probably not going to college to play football.
I'm not sure he was even a first-stringer in football

I'm pretty sure Huge's son is a Dip - a fact I've pointed out to my brother who's an F&M grad.
Check out the official card game of the AU Pep Band - Str8 Eight!

Frank the Tank said Mini-Huge was only in one game and had one tackle last year with F&M. The Rev wonders if maybe Mini-Huge transferred to get more play time.

iamhuge, come back and fill us in. Why is Tufts going to be huge this season?

Article on future Eph Steven Kiesel, a first team all state WR from Minnesota, and also a star lacrosse player and national merit semifinalist, sounds like he has a bright future at Williams:

Dude, DosXX guy is the most interesting man alive!  I think of Huge to be more like Chef Tony.

Gang,

On the UAA board, there was talk of the UAA adding teams, and the names that came up were MIT and Tufts.

Would any fans of the two schools here care to comment on that?

Would either school be willing to leave their New England rivals behind to join the UAA, a conference which consists of other urban private research universities?

Just wondered what you folks thought.

Tufts has been competing in football and otherwise athletically against the various NESCAC colleges (all of which with the exception of Hamilton are geographically proximate to Tufts) since many decades before NESCAC was created in the 70s. Those competitions generally have been reasonable (i.e. with neither Tufts nor any of its opposition being consistently out-classed or out-classing). Why would Tufts regard the UAA (none of which with the exception of Brandeis are geographically proximate to Tufts and with respect to which Tufts has no extensive athletic history) as an athletically greener pasture than NESCAC?

That's not quite accurate.  He missed the entire season due to injury in training camp but he's healthy now and working really hard.

Strangely, iamhuge (in his everyday form) keeps showing up on my LinkedIn page as "People You Might Know.". How LinkedIn could ever make this tenuous connection based on discussions on the D3 Football forum is unknown to me.

I now fear LinkedIn. It is the devil.
