Should one be eager to attend a college which can't or won't keep track of, or disclose, a significant element of its past?

Here's a link to the Bowdoin records, which go all the way back to 1889.

Looks like they were fairly competitive with WPI and Coast Guard.  I would think that the NESCAC could stay competitive to most D3 programs.    The top D3 programs would still be too far out of reach, IMO.

My SWAG is that NESCAC is between the 40s among DIII conferences.

SomeWhat Aducated Guess?

Go Continentals!

NJ seems to send players to all of the major football schools in the country.  The highest ranking teams in the country seem to like NJ football players. So, I'm not surprised that they have also done well in the NESCAC.

Here's a link with the results of all 936 games Trinity has played since 1886:

Similarly the Bantams schedule has been predominately filled with schools who are currently members of the NESCAC. Trinity's last game against RPI was in 1975 while the final game against Union was in '83.

The most recent Trinity opponent from outside the current NESCAC teams Coast Guard in '91. Incidentally, I'm leaving my current job at Trinity this week to take a position at the U.S.C.G.A.  Unfortunately, the job switch could mean that I won't see a Trinity football game for the first time in 13 years so I'll need to rely on you all to get my NESCAC football fix.

Kickoff 2013 is live!

I feel like this is our best Kickoff yet and these are the best NESCAC previews we've ever had in Kickoff. And that's tough, considering the players aren't in camp yet. It's hard to get coaches on the phone this time of year and you'll recognize the writers who did it, I'm sure.

This is the only time we ask you guys for money for anything, as I'm sure you realize. It's more than 300 pages of Division III preseason football knowledge and it's the only place you can get all this stuff: Our previews, our rankings, Keith's analysis, the whole 10 yards. http://www.d3football.com/notables/2013/08/get-kickoff-2013

$11, or $7 if you still have access to a .edu email address. (Meant for active players/students and coaches but hey, we know you guys on this board are loyal to D3football.com and we appreciate it.)

That's awesome that you will work at USCGA. I'm an Academy Admissions Partner, meaning that I'm supposed to attend college fairs and talk up the academy; try to get juniors to attend a one week camp called "Academy Introduction Mission".

Do you mind if I ask what your position will be? No matter what it is, I hope you love USCG as much as I do.

I'll be the new Director of Annual Giving & Athletic Development. Very much looking forward to learning about the Academy. By all accounts it is a very special place. However, I will certainly miss being 'neath the elms at my alma mater... especially on those autumn Saturdays.

I second this re: the NESCAC previews. Very well done. Enjoy.

NESCAC JACK

NESCAC schools' OOC results seem to be a hot topic recently, and I was lucky enough to stumble across a new site called winsipedia.com that compiled quite a bit of college football history. It's got the all-time results for every FBS team, and a few of them took on NESCACs in the past. Some notable records:

Amherst 40-9-5 against UMass
Bowdoin 8-4-2 against UMass
Hamilton 5-3-1 against Buffalo
Wesleyan 16-9 against UConn
Trinity 12-1 against UMass
Tufts 9-3 against BC
Wesleyan 1-0 against Michigan

The FBS team that gave the NESCACs the most trouble? Army has a career 49-0-2 record against eight different NESCAC schools. (Colby and Midd never played the Black Knights.)

Not sure how valuable all that is for current comparison purposes, but still, cool site.

+K for finding and sharing that website.
Good research!

I believe that Union was still part of NESCAC in 1983.
