NESCAC--where did you see the Williams/Colby preview?  Would like to check it out

Go Continentals!

GoContinentals...I would expect a 36-14 victory to beat the spread :). Actually, I do not care...just looking forward to a victory.
Thought about sitting on the home side with family members...being the visitor side has limited sight lines.  Afraid that if it rains, my big Amherst umbrella will generate negative reactions from some fans :).
Actually, my daughter, Amherst grad, and my grandchild...next generation Amherst student..are quite loud and will cause trouble.  Better to stay on the visitor side.
Nescac1..nice pick up wrt the DL players.  I was surprised at the movement of Steve Jellison, the big RB to the defensive side.  Also the naming of several freshmen...one as a return man...a skill position in my mind.  The HFC , also the back field coach, has a slew of young player in line for backups/ replacements.  This has been his tendency for years....building experienced reserves to come in...he was the defensive coordinator before getting the head coaching job.
.

I'm glad that you have such confidence that Hamilton will win 34-14!  Come sit on our side and root for our victory.  Think about how much fun everyone would have!   Oh, and one never knows, the grandchild may even decide that Hamilton is in her future!!!

One of Hamilton's starting defensive backs is a great player.  He captained the Princeton High School team a couple of years ago.

I heard that kid is HUUUGE yo!

He's actually an outstanding kid in a number of ways.

amh63

IAMHUGE....thanks for the heads up.  When the rosters come up, I will check his jersey number and give him a look.  For selfish reasons, I hope he has a below average game :)

gridiron

With the Hamilton and Colby rosters now posted, by my count, only Tufts, Williams and Amherst have not posted their complete 2013 rosters.

PistachioX

Trinity still has just its "pre-season veteran" roster posted... no freshman are listed yet.

quicksilver

I'm guessing the late roster postings for several squads have to do with a preference to make the final cuts down to 75 before going public with the roster . .

amh63

Quicksilver....that is the most perspective post here on the subject in awhile!  That includes my lightweight posts on late rosters.  Karma point to you.

amh63

Iamhugh....got your player's number...7.
Looked at Hamiton's posted roster.   Comments:
Counted  71 players...trending towards limit.
Over 30 freshmen ....rebuilding underway like Tufts.
New players mostly defensive types.  HFC was the defensive coordinator at Bowdoin...so not surprising recruiting trend.
A number of players from my area...D.C. Metro region.  New area for Hamilton, but not for Bowdoin, I believe.
LBs and DLs are good size.   Be interesting to see how many of the FYs get in the game on Sat.

NCF

New to this section of the boards, but will be following Wesleyan and the two players who are former high school teammates of my son.

Amherst's preview of the Hamilton contest is posted on the website.  Along with a preseason video and a interview with the coach!  All the bells and whistles...BUT no final roster tonight.  Enjoy!

NCF...welcome aboard, I guess being a seasoned posters elsewhere.  Good to have a Cardinal poster of sorts.  Must alert us of the players of interest so we can avoid trashing them in a future post :)
