Word out of Colby is Michaeles is out as HCOF...more news to follow later this evening.

Congrats to offensive poty Breuler, defensive poty Yamin, and rookie of the year Maimoron. Great job by all of the players. Tomorrow AM we'll break down the all-NESCAC performers.

Need to leave you with one tidbit...Tufts Jumbos fans are more going to be happy...hint, hint...

If Michaeles is in fact OUT at Colby - one name to keep an eye on for the job is Union College OC Ben Martin. He has been a huge part of their turnaround this year and would for sure solve a lot of their woes on offense. The Trinity grad has been at Union for the past 2 seasons and before that he held offensive coaching positions at Texas A&M, Princeton, and the Miami Dolphins. This would be an electric hire and the guys up there would LOVE playing for him...

While it's hard to decipher whether Nescacman is referring to good or bad news for Tufts, I'd imagine good, based on this tweet from Coach Civetti:

I'm guessing Civetti is leaving? Because that would be bad news. Everything else is manageable.

More NESCACMAN news...

For the first time, the NESCAC will name a defensive rookie of the year and the winner is...TJ Rothman, LB, from Williams.

Williams will garner 3 of the 5 major NESCAC individual awards...offensive and defensive rookies of the year and Coach of the Year. Speaks to the job Mark Raymond did at TTUN this year.

Speaking of coaches, not sure how JB Wells continues to get a pass on this Board. His career record at Bowdoin is 2-23, 2 of his 3 seasons at Bowdoin are winless (including this year's 0-9), he has the worst winning game percentage of any coach in Bowdoin's "illustrious" football history, and Bowdoin has not won a CBB outright since 2010.

MASCACAlum

New to the board but could Tufts HC be headed to Holy Cross???

Civetti was 0-24 in his first three years at Tufts. It takes time to build and, more importantly, it takes support from the administration/admissions. Jay received that support and turned the program around.

While I'm super impressed with what Raymond accomplished in a relatively short period of time, there is no way that you can compare the challenge at Bowdoin to the one at Williams.  The Bowdoin coach deserves more time, like Civetti got.  That said, I'm not sure Bowdoin will provide the level of support needed (staffing/admissions) to compete with the top tier, ever.  Winning an occasional CBB may be the ceiling as long as Tufts, Wesleyan and Middlebury maintain their current level.  Trinity, Amherst and Williams have pretty much always been strong.

Does the "Bowdoin ceiling" and relative lack of support make JB ponder a return to Beverly? Endicott job is open, he's won there, been supported there. The grass isn't always greener... Maybe he sees that now???

Thanks for the info- didn't know the Endicott job opened up, what were the circumstances?
