Shorter (D-II – GA): Per source, the school has parted ways with head coach Aaron Kelton. Shorter went 0-11 this season.

Good morning to everyone. I enjoyed following the 2017 seaon from West Palm Beach Work Release ( which is technically still prison ). I have 3 months left. As some of you know I vanished April 2014 from this board as I was somewhat unfairly surrounded by 60 FDLE officers who wanted to serve me 14 felonies from Racketeering , money laundering , extortion , collecting illegal debts , conspiracy this and conspiracy that and yes ofcourse Bookmaking as I had a website in Costa Rica. I can assure everyone as all those that personally know me that I come with the highest of Best Regards and worthy of my name and handshake. After catching up on so much , I would like to thank some who gave me positive feedback and considerations like Nescacman , Lumbercat , 4 More Years and others like Middhoops on 10/21/16 with a great post nailing me perfectly as poster. I certainly was not run off the board like westcoastdad speculated or my son being cut. ( my son eventually made a very , very  , very poor decision which I still do not know exact details on which caused him to be expelled after his Junior season , which I feel if I was not in prison , would bot have happened ). The Wesleyan coaches loved me and was so honored to partake in their celebration late into the night the day we beat Amherst in 2013 in which I had the spread exactly on. I despair that my son let these Wesleyan people down as the 2013 season was some of the best days of my life....anyways I look forward to get going and "Just Win Baby" is in as always , all the time...I started the Nescac lines in 2013 and plan to bring them World Wide this upcoming season as to Be the Man you have to Beat the Man...and yes I rooted for Trump during the elections which was very , very , very dangerous in a Florida Prison....Top of the Morning to Frank U.

Al-- Good update.  You've never been anything less than honest, and I admire anybody that owns their stuff.  May your last three months be good months.  This board is better with bold opinions ...

Hey Edwards is the new Arizona State HC. This reinforces my advice to my sons to go into coaching for the job security. You may, and likely will at some point, get fired. But someone out there will hire you. I think Herm is fine as an analyst, but he was a terrible coach. His handling of clock management for Arizona State will be the stuff SNL is made of.

We would be remiss if we didn't jump on this one...

http://coosavalleynews.com/2017/11/shorter-university-fires-head-football-coach-ad/

Word out of Waterville is he is the leading candidate for the HCOF spot....stay tuned...

Seriously, if this guy gets ANOTHER shot as a HCOF, we give up...for those keeping track at home, he finished his coaching career with a 28 game losing streak (lost his last 6 at Williams, 0-22 at Shorter)...and I am sure the Eph faithful would pin the 2016 0-8 debacle on him as well...as we said when he was hired, he didn't deserve the Williams job then and he doesn't deserve any HCOF job now...

Time for the HCOF to try s different career...

We love you and miss you Al...for the record, having watched your son play, he was a future NESCAC star who unfortunately made some bad decisions..we hope he, his mother and your daughter are all doing well...best of luck as you end this chapter in your life...

Now back to scouting the NJ high school football play-offs...

I was joking about Kelton.  I simply can't imagine he would be a serious candidate at Colby.  If he did become the coach there, the 23rd WR screen on week one might just put ColbyFootball over the edge.  But again, there is just no way  ...

Hmmm ... maybe Colby will hire Kelton!
Doesn't matter.
If the new coach can't play wide open offense with the players he inherits, certain people on this board will whine repetitively.  Endlessly.  Ad nauseum.

I agree with Chuck Taylor

It's been debated on the board endlessly this year but at the end of the day the collective talent in the CBB was at a 20 year abyss and the all conference selections reflect that clearly.
Bates found a way to grind out another CBB title but the talent level at the 3 schools was bad. Kind of like the perfect storm- a 20 year low point.

Interested to see where it goes from here. Recruiting information starting to trickle in and Bowdoin seems to have a decided advantage so far with their staff intact while the Colby re-configuration is in flux and to a lesser extent the Bates staff also looks to be in transition.

Nice job by the Colby coaches at today's Awards Banquet. OC Dunn served as "MC" and is a funny witty guy. None of the assistants have been let go as of yet. The feeling in the air was that the OC would welcome the HC job. The AD attended but didn't speak.

But the biggest surprise to everyone, including most players - Michaeles attended. He actually spoke at the outset and started by saying today was about the players, and then proceeded to speak in a round about, and at times direct, way about himself and his situation. He should have saved his misty eyes for another venue. The AD showed enormous class sitting there listening to his excuses. How uncomfortable that must have been for the AD. If I ever wondered about Michaeles having any class, I no longer. Michseles does not have any class. He did belong there today. What's worse is listening to him today I believe he is unbalanced and delusional.

Colby - please note that what you are doing from behind a screen name is not only craven but also dangerously close to libel.

I respect that you disagree. But to say it's libel is beyond silly. If you believe otherwise please show me the specific post that is libelous. Good luck on that.

As for Michaeles appearance, he did not belong there. It was not a retirement party. He could have had a farewell meeting with the players. But not there. That would have been appropriate. If you think what he did was the norm, or otherwise appropriate, it says something about you.

As for posting here, it's the only place to publicly vent frustrations. If you don't like it, don't read it, or block me. What he did was wrong.

Are you kidding me?  This isn't Jumbo Fisher leaving to a better job and then coming back for the FSU banquet.  This is a coach who went to a team banquet for the 2017 season where he was the head coach.  This was his team.   Why in gods name would it be a surprise to players or you that the head coach of the team showed up at the team banquet?!?!

This is d3football.  Was he a good football coach?  Maybe not.  I'll listen to you comment on that (Even though you have gone way overboard on that too).  But to attack or question whether or not he should show up at his own banquet is over the line, especially anonymously.

You obviously have some sort of ax to grind against this guy, like your kid got benched or something*.  If that is the case, you should be ashamed of yourself.  D3boards is not the place for you to grind your personal ax.  It is time someone called you out for it.

*Why don't you tell me what your son's name is and we can get the film and all comment on him and how his playing ability is and how appropriate we all think he acts during the year?  Then these posts may be a little more fair.

Love it.  Hold everyone to the same critical standard--its only fair, especially in this anonymous forum.

And it was a end of the year banquet.  Its not like he showed up at preseason camp after being fired.  Grow up.
