And just a question.... honestly, I have no clue..   Are NESCAC posters going over to the liberty league or east region board and taking shots at their teams/leagues?

No, but they'll take occasional shots at them here, which is really no different. Like the post where someone opined that the defending LL champ would lose by 20 points to three-quarters of the NESCAC.

Which begs the question:  If the LL is so much better than the NESCAC, why do you even care what those poor, uninformed NESCAC wannabe fans have to say?  Why the insecurity to come on here trolling us?  Why not just take quiet pride in your own magnificence?

What would be the fun in that?

I can only speak for myself (I am on this board because I am good friends with a dozen or so Nescac coaches past and present and have coached 20+ past and present players).

First off, this is a discussion board, you don't need to be alumni to post here or have an opinion of the league, its teams or the posters here.  I like to check all the eastern boards and if there is something interesting, I'll comment on it.  The Union guy posting recently about the last Hamilton game seemed a little random, but in general if someone is going to comment on Nescac teams and not be real about it (the Hamilton poster who spoke about the size of other players without really being accurate) he should be fair game to be called out on it.

Interesting twitter on the Amherst football site.  Cites the various D1 Ivy schools holding summer camps via a map of the region.  Provides distance to Amherst.  Invites campers in the area to drop by for a visit to the Amherst campus.  The twitter page also has visual info of the incoming class of 2022 recruits....as some other posters have cited.

Middlebury is in the process of announcing its 28-member class of 2022 on twitter at the account @Middfootball. It looks like 8 or 9 names have been announced so far so many more to come . .

With Houdini Ritter coming in late with his recruits I believe Bowdoin is the only NESCAC program that has not made the official announcement of their recruits......puzzling because the Bears were very early out of the box last year following the 5/1 release date.

Gone are the days when NESCAC programs, especially after a poor recruiting campaign, protected the list of incoming players very tightly. Now it's typical to the NESCAC arms race with the growth of social media...... can't afford not post recruiting results and all are following suit. Never expected to see this, especially from Amherst and Williams.

Suspect JB will follow Houdini's lead and release the list. I know the Bears lost 1 or 2 from the earlier "unofficial" list I posted but that was before they added the transfer QB from Lafayette.....McCrum, remember that name.

Amherst coaches have worked the Harvard football camp before too.  I assume they will do the same this year.  (For grades 9-12)

So far as I am aware, Williams has not officially released a list of its football recruits, although possible that occurred and I missed it.

Who's trolling? The guy who made a bold claim about the NESCAC's superiority based on a factually incorrect assumption about the size of the players' on the RPI roster? Or the guy who corrected him using, actual, you know, data?

You are correct, my mistake on Williams.

Bates search said to be down to 4- they better move it along if they are to have HC in place by 7/1.

GovCat

Lumbercat, AD told players he wants a HC in place by 6/15.

Gipper69

The Bates search is definitely taking much longer than expected - multiple candidates have been brought to campus only to turn down any offers made. Contrary to what they promised when the search started, they are nowhere near financially competitive for either the head coaches or the assistants and its having a brutal impact on their candidate pool. New AD Fein is not impressing anyone who sets foot on campus.

I would expect they start to put the full court press on some of the candidates they are meeting with this week...

First Post comes out with a bang there Gipper.  What is the salary offered for that position if I may ask?
