TTUN ??
LM ??
I think it's Williams- Amherst stuff ?
Fill me in

TTUN= That Team Up North
That's what Woody Hayes from Ohio State used to call Michigan rather than pronounce the name of the evil one.
I'm guessing that's what Amherst and others call Williams.

They do now...along with lots of other "fun" that we have brought to this crazy group.

Nescacman - "our comment on Costa relates to any D3 team running the "Air Raid" O. It is not designed for lower level college or HS programs."

You have some great links in your comment, but you are incorrect abou the AIR RAID. It was started by Mumme when he was a HS coach in Texas and is run by literally hundreds of high school and division III college programs. Tony Franklin (Mumme's RB coach at KY) has established a lucrative business selling his version of the offense to High School coaches.

Enjoyed your pics.

And Hal Mumme only coached half of these programs personally.  ;D

amh63: I love your history lessons! They provide an important perspective on things. My first live NESCAC viewing this year will be the Hamilton/Amherst tilt on the 22nd. An old friend and coaching colleague is an Asst. AD for your alma mater, and he was our first window into the world of NESCAC, when he coached football and women's hoop for the then Lord Jeffs.
Hamilton has finally posted their 76 man roster. They always wait until the Friday before "showtime".  As of 10 days ago they were 6 or 7 players above the 76. My source felt that some lingering injuries might make cuts easier. They do have some returning players who missed all of 2017 because of injuries. Again, my source indicated that Tyler Hudson will be sorely missed, but that LB is a position of substantial depth and experience. The defense should be solid as several leaders are now 3 or 4 year starters. On offense, both Joe Schmidt and Christian Donohoe have big play ability. To keep from being one-dimensional RB Mitch Bierman will need to continue what he began in his 2017 breakout year. Good luck to everyone, stay safe and healthy, both on and off the field! Enjoy, it goes by way too quickly!

Williams roster looks like only 66. 20 Freshmen if Im counting correctly.
Admissions doing Murray no favors there. He's still experiencing some of the fallout from the prior issues with the program.
One would think admissions would give him a Trinity sized Freshmen class as he tries to get the roster numbers back up...... but I guess not.
Too bad they can't go to the NESCAC waiver wire and pick up some Trinity or Wesleyan cuts.

Won't question Wells on the OL but wondering where is the the bight light from Governors??......Palmer was the best Bowdoin OL in the Bates and Colby games last year.

LC -  Thanks for the kind words.  Palmer is my boy and is likely out for the season.  He left camp after 3 days w/ chest pains.  Diagnosed w/ Myocarditis.  Full recovery to be had, but no treatment other than inactivity for 3-6 mos.   The other strong OL pick up from last year that played LG is a BB&N guy - Winschel also on IR. He'll be back by game 3 or so... he started all last year as well.

....  also, the aforementioned Priore... was my lacrosse coach at Union!

PBPOP20, sorry to hear that.   Best wishes to your son on a fast and full recovery.

Aw, man, really sorry to hear about your boy.  I'm sure he was pumped for the season.  Thank God he paid attention to those chest pains, though.  I take exception some times with the Bowdoin Administration's priorities, but their training staff is first rate, as is their supplemental medical insurance plan for athletes.  (My daughter tried her best to bankrupt that program over the last 4 years).

If you need to find a "glass-half-full" argument to cheer him up, he will still have a year of eligibility left when he graduates, and there are a number of former NESCAC players who have had a great DI experience in grad school.  Former Midd K Steven Hauschka rode that DI experience right into the NFL.  And former Tufts P&K Willie Holmquist (one of the nicest young men you'll ever meet) got to play in a DI bowl game while pursuing his MBA at Duke.

Good luck to your son, and good luck to the Polar Bears tomorrow.

DC53...thanks.  Believe I heard a talk by your friend in Amherst's Mead Art Museum.  Make sure you have your friend take you there when you are in town.  Assume you are a Hamilton fan.  Maybe we can chat  sometime at a football game in Clinton.
Surprised to see that Williams' football roster is so short.  Just as I am surprised at nescac1's earlier post of several football commits for next year!
Anyway, I will post my encounters with two great former "nescac" football coaches on Sat.  Both coaches have their names associated with their school's football field...Don Miller of Trinity and Dick Farley of Williams.
Many of the Nescac schools have roster players that come from states impacted by  storm Florence that made landfall today.  Amherst has a QB and a kicker that I can recall noe. Their minds maybe elsewhere on Sat.  My positive thoughts to all of them as I have family and close friends in the impacted areas...Raleigh Durham area in particular.
Otherwise...let the games begin! ;D

Yes, we acknowledge and have seen some of those HS and D3 teams that run the Air Raid. We stick by our comments that it is best run by the types of QBs that Mike Leach seems to be able to recruit...

DC 53.....you know the best thing about this time of year? Everyone is 0-0 and hope springs eternal. Even the Conts are tied for first in the 'CAC today! Good luck today against the OG Elephants...
