I can also attest to Michaeles' character as a person. A  loyal, dedicated and passionate man who cares deeply about his players.

For his role in Brunswick, I think there is cause to be optimistic. When Michaeles took over playcalling duties in Waterville in '09 the mules offense improved by over 10 ppg over the next two seasons. Just my .02
Look at the Mules offensive production 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017. Ineffective, unproductive and ranked at or near the bottom of the nescac. And if you look at individual games it gets worse since some stats were padded by Colby blowouts.

As for caring about his players, I have a question to those reading. Suppose in his last college game ever your placekicker has a chance to kick a 40 plus yard FG on the last play of the game against Bowdoin to set the school's career record. But, you're up quite a bit. Do you give him a shot at the record, hoping the Bowdoin coach realizes you're not running up the score (which would be classless), or do you take a knee?

I'd let the kid kick and explain to Bowdoin after the game that I wasn't running the score up. Just my opinion on what's right.

Are these really your beefs about this coaches character?  That he didn't let a kicker kick in a blowout and they couldn't set a record?  Or that he couldn't win at a d3 Maine Nescac school?  Really?

My opinion is based on firsthand knowledge and your comments won't change that.

You obviously have a different opinion based on your experiences and your belief that your kid should have played more.  That's not the case for me, and I think it's only fair that other viewpoints are expressed. Simple as that.

I've removed my recent posts. I won't be posting further, even on non-Michaeles topics because someone somehow will bring up Michaeles regarding my post, and it will open old wounds. So, it's best I read the posts, but not comment. Sorry if any of my posts offended anyone. That was never my intention.

(Anyone other than Michaeles, no doubt.)

Taking your ball and going home is your prerogative, but you might *try* posting about non-Michaeles topics. Surely you can see when you grind your ax, sparks might fly.

I have seen Fetter play in person and he throws the ball pretty well and can run. Guessing with Seamus as the starter he could be looked at as a potential WR or DB candidate too as he's a solid all-around athlete.

I'm not taking my ball and going home Pat. I'll still be here, I'd just prefer to be an observe. At least for a while. I really do enjoy this site, so I'll continue to read everything.

letsgo!

Hello all. New to the board and new to the NESCAC. My son will be attending Tufts and we're excited about the league.

Of the sports most attention is paid to, the two most successful for NESCAC are men's and women's basketball - both just heating up past mid-season!  If you find a group of angry-looking guys standing well over six feet at you front door, you might not want to open it! :o ;D
