Took the bait!....First...IslandTime, guess you will be at Pratt Field for Amherst's Homecoming game with Wesleyan :).  I have booked my rooms for the event. Hope my youngest son/wife will join me and my daughter's family for the game. Daughter and two sons are all alums.  Oldest son/wife are overseas.
Imho...the biggest story to unfold for the upcoming season will be if Amherst, Tufts, Williams and Wesleyan can prevent Trinity from winning the Title...again.  The order presented above is my expected "pecking" order of challengers.  Amherst has to find replacements for its defensive stars and key offensive linemen.  Tufts lost a bunch of key personnel as well as Wes.  Williams has great potential with it's star QB...but it needs Depth offensively, period.  I believe Midd lost too much and will be in a "rebuild stage" season.  Hamilton is a question mark.  The fine head coach is at a critical junction.  He has been at Hamilton long enough now...enough time to recruit his players and develop them into a solid challenger.  Coach had built consistent title winners when he was at Alfred Un.  Wesleyan has lost a lot of talent and maybe in a "rebuild mode".
Amherst has Wes and Trinity both at home this season.  Amherst plays well at Tufts and in Willytown.
The Maine schools are all still in the "rebuild mode" with new coaches and less talented rosters.

By way of re-introduction, new board member here joining to root on the Ephs and my son who will be joining the squad as a FY.  Looking forward to meeting the Williams crew, feeding the kids, and rooting on our team!

Son is Paul Harshbarger from Schuylerville NY.

Go Ephs!

Good idea for the (football)"dog days of summer".

My Son is Travis Cepalia O-Lineman Tufts - Don Bosco Prep

Nice to meet you. I'll look for him when we play.

Looks like the CBB games this year may be played under the lights. All three venues have lights.
With the close proximity of the schools this works very well. Should be fun and will provide a different wrinkle for the CBB series.

Lumber--great observation. Hope it comes to pass this season. Buzz continues among the CBB programs.

The Bowdoin at Bates game is already scheduled for 5:30pm. The other CBB games are TBA,  meaning that there's an excellent chance for under the lights for all CBB games.

PBPOP20

The Bowdoin/Colby game was originally listed at 5:30 as well, then was changed to TBA.  Not sure what that means, but the atmosphere at the Bowdoin/Bates game last year was electric!!  So, hope they do it at night again.

There is concern by some close to the football programs that the temperature may be too cold for a night game in Maine that time of year.

Grid-
Wasn't aware of that- from time spent in Maine don't think it's that cold in early November but I guess it's always a possibility.
Hoping all the CBB teams go forward with it.

Hey NESCAC Fans,

It's really unfortunate that we have to do this, but we have less than two weeks to raise a small fortune ($350) in order to renew our ownership of the domain name nothingbutnescac.com so if you've found our coverage of NESCAC sports entertaining, please consider helping us to keep it going for another two years!

I hope this comes to pass. It will allow us to watch more games online.

Personal preference, but I've always preferred college football games to be played in the afternoon

Am scanning the Nescac schools online for football news in the Village of Groton, NY.  Nice morning sitting on the porch.  Wife and I are "granddaughter" watching...i.e...we went to visit an art museum in Cooperstown, NY. Over the weekend. Saw that Colby has posted its football roster.  20 FY players on a surprising "small" roster...under 70 players.
