...and no, Pat Coleman did not pay me for the free advertisement/endorsement of his site....:)

Tried that...didn't work...as well as 3 different browsers...let's face it....the Lord Mammoths from the top (the Prez) to the bottom (SID interns) are a complete mess...

Was Midd's Jernigan replaced at QB vs. Trinity or was he injured?

Nescacman

From what we understand, Jernigan got hurt....however, given the score, they may have just wanted get their starting QB out of harm's way...

Trin9-0

Really, Nescacman? A three-way tie for first place in your "Power Rankings". Haha... show some conviction! I promise you, Wesleyan won't take away your degree if you acknowledge the Cards are just a tad bit behind Williams and Trinity at this point in the season. How can you admit that Wesleyan should have lost to Bates (whom you rank 9th in a 10 team league) and in the same post say that Wes is tied for the best team in the NESCAC?

There's clearly a top three and the Cards are certainly in it, but you lose all credibility with your refusal to objectively assess your alma mater.

I also absolutely loved this gem:

never easy to win in Maine...

Since when?! Please tell me this was tongue in cheek. The three Maine teams are a combined 4-49 at home since 2015 and three of those wins were against Hamilton.

Nescacman...or men?..whatever...I tend to agree with you wrt to the football site who has a coach listed as a information coordinator.  Checked today and the site has pics of most of the players.  The other sports sites are much timely and better, imo.  Guess it is a question of HC Mills' priorities....lots of players...select a QB...find a kicker, etc, etc.  It must be noted...again..that the Nescac site also has problems.  Was informed by the school earlier that the IT dept. must replace a number of people due to retirement...when I got on them about another matter.  Meantime, continue to rant here and even to the Amherst's athletic dept :).  Good luck.  Use my handle even.  Started to donate again...after the present prez announced her retirement.

Pat Coleman

Amherst had some significant tech issues with stats on Saturday.

Amherst also had home games in football, men's and women's soccer, field hockey and women's volleyball, and they have just one SID. This is not realistic staffing.

I have no idea what might have happened with their NSN broadcast. I did not try to watch that game in real time.

Maybe once Amherst's endowment reaches 4 billion dollars, instead of a piddling 3 billion, it will be able to fully staff up.

amh63

Nescac1....you maybe correct! Amherst is nearing the end of a Capital Fund drive of 650 million.  Am told it is ahead of schedule presently.  The alumni fund and the Friends of Athletics are separate, I believe.  Guess I have to donate to the athletic fund...again.  Seriously...for a moment.  Amherst is presently planning to build a new student center and a new dinning hall. The architect is the one that designed the "Birdcage" for the Olympics in China, and the Tate Musem in London.  There is now a no loans policy for entering students.  100 million dollar alum donors are getting scare.  The Capital Fund drive ends in a year, I believe.  I truly believe that the SID situation will be resolved before the end of this season...fingers crossed.
Oh yes Nescac1....Williams' endowment is presently larger than Amherst.  However, FY 20 endowment returns was negative for Williams and positive for Amherst.

Who cares about endowment returns...who is going to win the last game of the year?!? Isn't that more important?

Pretty good shot of "the catch" at 1:05 on Wes' Weekly Highlight Package...

Sorry to prolong this, but Williams' endowment returns for Fy2020 were 3.3%, not negative. Back to football.

Great catch and glad it received some national attention. Having seen many of the upper tier of teams play this year, I can't see Trinity losing if they stay healthy. That's a big if but IMO they are the top dog right now.

Thanks, Toad22 for once again correcting a false narrative put forth by amh63 who continues to amuse with a life-long obsession with all things Eph.

Good to do the math ... with the Folger Library endowment, Amherst's endowment is well over $4.0BB and the highest per student of all liberal arts colleges.   Just saying ...

Bowdoin had a 57.4% return on it's endowment last year, up to $2.72 billion.  Their Chief Investment Officer just retired though.
