Chuck,

What's your point with the penalties in the Wesleyan home games? FWIW, there were probably 6-8 false starts called on the Cards. Jumbos were stemming their front before snap and simulating snap calls and the OL was jumping. There you go, they are poorly coached and undisciplined and it should be cleaned up by now. Happy?

Mole, we have to thank you for your hospitality yesterday and we enjoyed a taste of Philly with you and your family and friends! Truly enjoyable!!

And congratulations on a stellar effort by your son and his teammates...made the day/night that much better!!! See you in Brunswick...

No this is what I was saying for some reason they seem undisciplined more at home then on the road.

It's been a few years since I've been to Portland, but these were my pre-pandemic favorites:

Fore Street (https://www.forestreet.biz/)
Street & Co. (https://www.streetandcompany.net/)
Scales (http://www.scalesrestaurant.com/menus)
Local 188 (https://www.grocer188.com/)
Central Provisions (http://www.central-provisions.com/)
Bull Feeney's (http://bullfeeneys.com/)
Holy Donut (https://www.theholydonut.com/)

The first three recommendations are all run by the same restaurant group, I believe. Fore Street is one of the more famous restaurants in Portland; Street & Co. and Scales are fish-focused menus and top notch, as well. The Holy Donut makes unbelievable potato donuts. Highly recommended.

Portland is a great little city. Entirely walkable--probably more akin to a large town in most other parts of the country. Hopefully it's maintained its quality and character through the pandemic.

"Independant Ice Company"....one of the top bourbon bars in the US....not so much for dinner, but if ya wanna see a crazy wall of expensive whiskeys & sample something you won't find anyplace else; this is a must stop!

right downtown.

Fantastic list! I would also add Maine Beer Co. in Freeport. Amazing beer and pizza right on Rt. 1 just south of downtown.

Mole-
You'll enjoy Portland, you've already got a lot to choose from but I'd add the The Grill Room to your list located on Exchange St. Steak house fare.

I think what will make Mole enjoy Portland is win #5 for Wes Tech on Saturday...right Mole?

If there is a pro prospect in the NESCAC it's Tomlinson. He might get a glance.

I'm not up to date on Wesleyan football but watching Tufts-Wes tape tonight.........Niko Candido?? yikes, where did he come from? Assume Scott is injured? Depth is a great thing.

Trinity-Wes is going to be a classic.

Nick Helbig might also get a shot. Kid is a monster.
